"This Summer" was the first single released from Squeeze's eleventh album, Ridiculous.
Two versions of the single were released, each with entirely different B-sides. Disc 1 notably contains a live cover of the then-popular Britpop group Blur's minor hit, "End of a Century".
A remix of "This Summer" was released in August 1996, and charted four spots higher than the original song.
