This Day and Age was a modern upbeat rock/pop band from Tonawanda, NY.

On October 24, 2006, lead singer Jeff Martin released information that he would be stepping away from the band. On the band's MySpace blog he said "during the past few months as i have thought about my future, it has become more and more apparent to me that my passion, my desire to create music, to be in a band has faded... i found myself not enjoying being on tour, not having written a word since we left the studio 6 months ago (these are odd things to me). we are calling it an indefinite hiatus; which leaves some possiblities. joey, steve, mike, and kelly will continue playing together but not as thisdayandage... they will begin on a new musical endeavor which i'm sure will blow all of our minds."

The band played their last show on November 4, 2006.

Soon after that last show, they began working on their new sound. They have been careful to stay true to their world-wide fan base while at the same time continuing to show that ability to grow and mature as musicians. It seems they have settled on a new name as well, "The Reign of Kindo." Their first show was on Feb 25, 2007 where it all began: Buffalo, NY. Fans say This Day and Age will be greatly missed, Jeff will be missed. His voice brought a certain feeling to the band which in some minds made it whole. But they also say just like Brian Johnson did when he steped into the front line for AC/DC, Joey Secchiaroli has removed any doubt that the (w)hole would be filled nicely. The band also added Jeff Jarvis to take over on bass.
