Thirtynine Mile volcanic field

The Thirtynine Mile volcanic field, located in Park and Teller counties, Colorado, was the site of significant volcanism in the Tertiary Period (See: geologic timescale). The field is named for Thirtynine Mile Mountain, a local peak.
