Third Man Records

Third Man Records is Jack White's record label.
In addition to The White Stripes 6 albums, the label used to also be home to Grand Rapids, MI trio Whirlwind Heat. The label's name probably features the number three due to Jacks known fondness of it, as mentioned in several interviews with and articles on The White Stripes or his various other projects[citation needed]. His old upholstering company was named Third Man Upholstery. It could also refers to Carol Reed's The Third Man starring Orson Welles. White also refers to himself as the "Third Man" in the song "Ball and Biscuit" on the White Stripes' album Elephant (album). The film production company for Under Blackpool Lights was 'Third Man Films'.
Jack White's latest project, The Raconteurs, with long time friends Brendan Benson, Jack Lawrence and Patrick Keeler of The Greenhornes debut album, Broken Boy Soldiers, carries the third man logo. The label is distributed in America and most of the world through V2 Records and in the UK by XL recordings. For the Raconteurs tour of the UK in October 2006 very limited live albums were on sale, a 1000 pressed for each show, these also carries the third man label.
The Muldoons, who feature Jacks former Upholsterers band mate Brian Muldoon and his two sons Shane and Hunter, will release their debut album through Third Man Records.
