Thieu-lam kung fu is basically a Vietnamese version of the legendary Shaolin kung fu. It involves a huge array of different kicks, punches, blocks and more. There are over a hundred "kata" to learn which makes thieu-lam kung fu a life-long hobby. Thieu-lam kung fu is also famous for its animal-styles. It includes Monkey kung fu, Tiger kung fu, Snake kung fu, Crane/Eagle kung fu, Drunken Boxing (also known as Drunken kung fu.) Thieu-lam has over 36 weapons to learn: the spear, staff, saber, straight sword, double sabres/swords, fan, throwing knives, wips and more. Thieu-lam has Taichi and Qigong aspects. Thieu-lam kung fu is extremely versatile in combat.
