[edit] Translation
The original of the verse I've translated is:
It's very hard to translate Tamil verse of this quality without sacrificing either meaning or form - I've tried to strike a balance with a relatively freer translation, but I must admit I'm not quite satisfied. If anyone can improve on it, please feel free to do so. -- Arvind 14:55, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
- Good work in improving the article. Let me try and refine the translation where possible. -- Sundar \talk \contribs 15:00, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
- As I sat attempting to refine the translation, I felt that it's next to impossible to do so without loss of meaning. I changed "false body" to "illusory body". Feel free to revert, if inappropriate. Can "illumine" be replaced by "enlighten"? -- Sundar \talk \contribs 14:34, 24 June 2006 (UTC)
- False -> illusory was a good change. I also agree that "enlighten" is more accurate than "illumine". -- Arvind 14:06, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
