[edit] Merge with Ladybird ?

This looks as if this would be much better as part of the much more comprehensive Ladybird article which also lists the alternative names such as Lady beetle, Lady bug etc. Any special reason for this to be here on its own? The usual conventions for invertebrates would use the latin name for a species, as this is, rather than a common name - see very extensive debate on naming convetions in Wikipedia Wikipedia:Naming conventions (fauna). Yes, the general information about lady beetles is just repeated from the article on the family, so I removed it. However the naming convention you linked to is says to place articles at the common name (if there is one). So thirteen-spotted lady beetle is the right name for the article.
