Welcome back
...that is if you ever left in the first place. ;-) --hydnjo talk 04:11, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
- and glad that you got back in time to weigh in on the new Main Page design, Lots of keystrokes on that one - more than you could imagine. Trying to please a thousand voters was quite a balancing act. Fortunately the project leader David Levy had the right temperment to see it through. Anyway, Take a peek at WP:EUI when you get a chance and edit to your hearts content, it's only a first draft after all. I'm sure you can add to it from either personal or whatever experience. And, Onefool is still there waiting for more family to show up (and they will). Ping my page once in a while or whenever to let me know that you're still with us. ;-) --hydnjo talk 03:36, 20 March 2006 (UTC)

- I don't edit under the influence! Oh yeah, well maybe I used to. It's a funny page, I'll have a shot at it one day. However, current wiki preoccupation is on Wiktionaray, defining loads of Words which appear on TV, which include lots of fun words to describe, like pissy, mwah ha ha, thingie, dongle, dirtbag, grr, rrr, mmmhmm, stogie, fatso, dipshit, sleepyhead, butthole, looker, hehe, doddle, easy peasy, itty bitty tinsy winsy yellow polka dot bikini, ting, ahhhhh, ooooh, ohhhh, yeeha!, munchkin, hustler, woohoo....and the list goes on. I find defining these words incredibly uplifting, and I find myself meandering about with them... but then again, I'm a bit strange. --Wonderfool t(c) 12:57, 20 March 2006 (UTC)
Articles you might like to edit, from SuggestBot
SuggestBot predicts that you will enjoy editing some of these articles. Have fun!
SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways, from comparing articles that need work to other articles you've edited, to choosing articles randomly (ensuring that all articles with cleanup tags get a chance to be cleaned up). It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. Your contributions make Wikipedia better -- thanks for helping.
If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please tell me on SuggestBot's talk page. Thanks from ForteTuba, SuggestBot's caretaker.
P.S. You received these suggestions because your name was listed on the SuggestBot request page. If this was in error, sorry about the confusion. -- SuggestBot 00:57, 21 March 2006 (UTC)
Trial and conviction of Alfred Dreyfus for Portal:Law
Hi. I've tabbed this article to be the next "featured case" in the Law portal (starting in a few weeks) - since you've worked on it, I thought you might want to go over it and see if there is any information that should be added or any other changes that should be made before it comes into the rotation. Also, I am curious as to whether there are case citations, particularly for any legal appeals taken from the conviction. Cheers! BDAbramson T 16:05, 3 May 2006 (UTC)
Violette Morris
I'm just crazy enough, but currently working on Prostitution in Ancient Greece fr:Prostitution en Grèce antique (which should prove I'm crazy)- if nobody's claimed it when I'm done, I'll have a go.Bridesmill 16:58, 20 May 2006 (UTC)
COTW Project
You voted for 20th century music, this week's Collaboration of the week. Please come and help it become a featured-standard article. PDXblazers 02:24, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
fair use not allowed in non article space
This image : Image:Dream Caused by the Flight of a Bumblebee around a Pomegranate a Second Before Awakening.jpg probably is not eligible for use on a user page if it actually is copyright. You may want to consider removing it. ++Lar: t/c 12:49, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
- You can get the hell away! I've had that picture there for 13 months, and nobody's gonna be arrested for it. --Talented Wikipedian 12:52, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
- That comment is not very civil. That it's been used by you for a while doesn't mean it's not necessarily a potential problem. Do you dispute that it's not free, that it is, in fact not a fair use picture? Now, it may be mistagged, I don't know. But I did notice it's carrying a copyright tag. If it's mistagged, maybe working to get it corrected might be a good approach. I point this out to you in order to help you avoid problems and lashing out at me is inappropriate, please consider your tone more carefully and remain civil. ++Lar: t/c 14:46, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
- Also, the picture you have in your signature Image:Kiss.png is fair use, which is not permitted. Images are strongly discouraged in the first place, see WP:SIG ("Images of any kind should not be used in signatures.") but a fair use image is definitely not allowed. Please remove it. Thanks for understanding, jaco♫plane 15:28, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
Just to clarify, the image you're using is not licensed for use anywhere on Wkipedia. Please remove it from your signature. This is a matter of urgency. --Tony Sidaway 17:47, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
- My sig is a public signature. --Talented Wikipedian 09:55, 5 June 2006 (UTC)
- That is not relevant. Your signature is not a thing used in articlespace. Unlicensed/fair use images, by fiat of the WikiMedia Board, may not be used outside articlespace under any circumstances. That's not really a debatable point. Read, review and understand WP:FU and related materials. You've now been warned by more than one admin that you have issues you need to address. I suggest you address them as soon as practical. Please remove that image from your signature code so that it is no longer used. Please remove the Dali image from your userpage unless you can get its designation as copyrighted material changed. Failure to heed these requests may have consequences. ++Lar: t/c 11:55, 5 June 2006 (UTC)
- I've removed the image from your userpage. Do not re-add it, as doing so is a violation of the policy at Wikipedia:Fair use criteria item #9. I also concur with the editors above; you must remove the fair use image from your signature. Failure to do so will result in your being temporarily blocked. In this case, I would block you until such time as you agree via posting to your talk page (which you can do while blocked) to remove the image from your signature. The reason this is important is again the fair use policy. Wikipedia needs to protect itself against potential copyright claims. In the vast majority of cases, use of fair use images outside of article namespace is not permitted by U.S. copyright law, which Wikipedia is subject to. Since there are such limited cases where fair use image would be allowed outside of article namespace, and since such use does not generally contribute to the encyclopedia, and since the justifications for such use would become highly complex in total, the policy has been established to draw the line at simply no fair use outside of article namespace. If you have questions about this, I'd be happy to answer. Again, please remove the fair use image from your signature as soon as possible. --Durin 15:57, 6 June 2006 (UTC)
- I have removed all fair use violations of Image:Kiss.png, including the usage on User:Wonderfool/sig. I presume you have not modified your signature via Special:Preferences. If so, then you are currently in compliance with fair use policy. If you have modified your signature via Special:Preferences, then you must remove the fair use image from that modification. --Durin 16:14, 6 June 2006 (UTC)
- OK, no problem - WF would've removed it himself, but (s)he was not around to do so. WF sends her apologies. --131.251.0.7 09:33, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
French Translation
You requested an article, Violette Morris, be translated from French into English, and I decided to do it. This will be my first French translation, so I hope it goes well. I'll let you know when I'm done. Happy to be of service, RyanGerbil10 (Drop on in!) 05:15, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
- It took less time than I expected. The finished articles is here. Happy to be of service, RyanGerbil10 (Drop on in!) 00:16, 14 June 2006 (UTC)
Confusion
You asked on my userpage "Hi Fosse8, has anyone ever accused you of being a sockpuppet before, particularly of Wonderfool?"... I fear I have missed a step somewhere in this conversation, but I can confidently confirm I'm not your sockpuppet. To the best of my knowledge, anyway. I have been feeling a little odd recently, it might be that. Why do you ask? Fosse8
Competitive eating
Hello. I have translated the Japanese article you requested. It was linked to competitive eating, but since it covered a slightly different area from the English article, I decided to create a new article for it, under the slightly awkward name of eating quickly. I hope you like it. Grgcox 17:38, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
