[edit] Weak

Hi Theresa: Not blank anymore! hehe. Anyways, don't you think that weak is a little bit childish when he has a list of people he hates?

Oh yes! theresa knott

He and I have a longstanding feud, like Israel and the Arabians. He started it by being on top of everyone of the articles I began and fixing them the minute I wrote them. I told him then that a fix is ok if its good for the article but that after 30 days of doing exactly the same routine (fixing each of the articles I began to write the minute after I put them online) it seemed to me he was after me for some reason. And TRUST me, this happened with about 60 or so articles I wrote from scratch. Like I said, when a fix of an article is good for the article that I began, Im happy about the fix, I almost never revert. But Wik's insistence on fixing those articles originated by me made me feel, well, persecuted.

I know exactly how you feel, I've been followed around too. theresa knott

Since Wik thinks hes the authority, no one shall answer to him on what he says, so of course, because I answered him, he answered by calling for my rights as administrator to be taken away without me doing anything,

He's done that to loads of people. theresa knott

this was right after he got on wikipedia, about 8 or 9 months ago. It was voted 21-0 that I should stay as admnistrator, and ever since, he's had this teeny-bopper like war against me. He reminds me of Anna Colemans former friend that keeps on firing at her on Freaky Friday, thats the only person I can think of when I think of Wik. The worst part is that I admit it, since I wanted to be a boxer once, I answer fire with fire, so I admit that I do get involved in his teeny-wars.

But you know you shouldn't don't you? theresa knott

We had truce once, but truce for Wik seems as delicate as the truce between the Israelis and Americans and different Arab states. Its, well, a thin word for him. He cant seem to let go.

I think that calling us names is childish and disrespectful, although I guess he is allowed to do whatever he wants to do with his page.

exactly. it's his user page the AC may make him change it, but you can't. (nor should you be allowed to)theresa knott

Pshychoanalizing his personality (sorry about misspelling that long word, Im not good with words like that, lol!) I believe that he is the type of person who feels utterly humilliated when proven wrong, and thats wny he called me a moron (remember, the 21-0 vote that I should stay? he called me a moron after he was proven wrong by those 21 voters).

What does his calling you are moron achieve? Do you think people will think "Wik says antonio is a moron so therfore he must be one"? theresa knott

Me, Im not the smartest (though I consider myself pretty smart) the sexiest (through I consider myself to have some sexyness) or best fighter (though I can tell you Ive nailed a couple guys before).

I've little doubt in my mind that you are smart, sexy and well 'ard theresa knott

So who cares if Im not? I dont get offended by that, I just enjoy life. But when someone corrects you 60 times in a row, I thought that was overdoing it.

I know it can be very irritating, but you have to simply ignore it. I know it's difficult. theresa knott

I might go to village pump to see if we can erase his hater lists and protect his page, that way he cant keep campaigning on his page against Wikipedians that he doesnt like (probably because they've proven smarter and more mature).

By the way, like I said, Im not all that mature either, after all, I do fall into his teen wars, (and I DID enjoy Freaky Friday, LOL!) but I dont go out seeking for teenwars out here!

Anyways, Theresa, I think youre cool and its been a blessing to get to know you! I hope we can keep collaborating a lot here!

Thanks, and God bless you!

Sincerely yours, your friend, Antonio Teen Image Martin

Let me give you the benefit of my experiences on wikipedia. Because I won't take any rubbish from, or be bullied by agenda pushers, I have made enemies of a number of problem users. I am listed on certain peoples users pages as "thought police" and "dangerous". I've been called loads of names including "dyslexic promoter of idiolectic basic English", one of a "bunch of morons", a "fucking bitch", "scum", a "baby", a "troll", the list goes on and on. The best approach to take with users who call you names is to laugh at them. This has a dual advantage, it reduces your stress considerably, plus it can be really offputting to your opponent. Another good thing to do is be honoured by the company you keep. Look at who else is on the list. Members of the AC, members of the MC, respected wikipedians. You should be proud! theresa knott 14:24, 29 Apr 2004 (UTC)
User:Eloquence has just made this edit to Wik's talk page. Read it and laugh. theresa knott 07:26, 30 Apr 2004 (UTC)

Regarding: Eloquence demonstrates how it should be done, in Talk:Alternative_medicine#Structural_suggestion this editor has stated a number of points that you should read, including but not limited to:
  1. Citations would also be useful.
  2. The matter is complicated by the fact that both factions usually focus on a discipline of AM, rather than on the field as a whole.
I myself do not have time for a major re-write of alternative medicine. I believe that opportunity was passed up by yourself not too long ago? ' -- John Gohde, aka Mr-Natural-Health 13:41, 30 Apr 2004 (UTC)

My edit summary "Eloquence demonstrates how it should be done" was about how Antonio should respond to being added to Wik's abusive lists. He is good humoured about it, as I am about being on both of your abusive lists. I was not saying that he is some kind of guru on everything. Having said that I already read his points and your refusal of his suggestions.I might do a major rewrite of AM sometime in the near furture but as mkweise already did it, and i collaborated with him on it, and since you have um, how shall I put this, extensively edited it back into the old format, I wonder if there would be any point? theresa knott 14:07, 30 Apr 2004 (UTC)

As I recall, a number of you people required the old format when I responded to the addition of the JREF prize nonsense. This did in fact lead directly to my creation of the Wikiproject on Alternative Medicine. People do reap what they sow. -- John Gohde, aka Mr-Natural-Health 22:57, 30 Apr 2004 (UTC)
I made the Wikiproject on Alternative Medicine operational within 2 weeks, as well as write two editions of my newletter. Yes, the project is offically operational! Obviously, I am putting my time where I can get some constructive work done: on the project. I have no time for playing games. By the end of summer, you wont be able to recognize the new alternative medicine. -- John Gohde, aka Mr-Natural-Health 18:06, 30 Apr 2004 (UTC)

[edit] thanks

for the help on the puberty table. I finished the reformatting and you are right it was quite easy. I'm glad I posted the request.

I'll try to repay you by putting a diagram somewhere. I agree that the big articles look nicer with an illustration. It occurred to me to try to illustrate the stages of puberty because I couldn't find an uncopyrighted version on the net but I was afraid if I tried to draw them they would just look crude. Alteripse 13:04, 2 May 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Behind Bars

Couldn't add anything to your Scum (movie), but you might get a kick out of Talk:Scum (movie). --bodnotbod 21:32, May 2, 2004 (UTC)

====thanks==== for the reassurance on the alt med article. The article is a problem I don't have a solution for and arguing with him is a waste of everyone's time. I suspect this kind of article illustrates the greatest weakness of the wiki system. I didn't start here to pick pointless edit fights, so I will leave it alone until he or someone else attempts a general reconstruction. Alteripse 23:15, 2 May 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Votes for Undeletion

Hi Teresa. Thank you for clarifying Martin's comments on my talk page. I have replied on Martin's talk page. As I've told Martin, there's nothing personal about the stand I've taken. I actually quite like Calmypal and have appreciated being able to work with him on a certain project I'm involved with. This is not about personalities; it is about policy. I've read your comments on the undeletion page and believe me, I know where you're coming from. But the point is simply this: are we prepared to enforce the necessary policies to make Wikipedia the valuable educational resource that most of us wish it to be, or do we just turn a blind eye to those who would trivialize it? I'm not proposing banning in every case, but we have to have an appropriate mechanism for dealing with the case of regular offenders. Setting and enforcing standards is unpleasant work, for the enforcer as much as for the persons who need restraining, but the long-term value to the Wikipedia project will be considerable. Anyway, that's how I see it. See you later:-) David Cannon 12:09, 4 May 2004 (UTC)

(Identical text on my own talk page): Thank you for taking the time to reply on my talk page and explain your perspective on the matter. My opinion on the article in question has not changed, but now that I've read what you had to say and slept on it, I can see that my call for a ban was excessive. I am sorry that I overreacted and got carried away, and will try to keep a tighter rein on my feelings in future.
BTW, that joke with which you ended (about the edit conflict with NH) completely disarmed me! Thanks for that, Theresa. Peace:-) David Cannon 21:16, 4 May 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Meetup

Hi Theresa, thanks for the note. :) Yes I'm English (though living in Scotland), but I wont be able to come to the meetup... I'm relying on people to post photos etc after the fact. I'm sad to be missing it. fabiform | talk 12:57, 5 May 2004 (UTC)

I'm sad that you're missing it too. Never mind, I expect that there will be other meetups in the future. theresa knott 14:16, 5 May 2004 (UTC)

It should also be noted that I created -The life of Pi. GrazingshipIV 08:15, May 7, 2004 (UTC)

Cool! I shall do my best to expand it :-)theresa knott 08:21, 7 May 2004 (UTC)

I created both the Ice-Cold in Alex and The life of Pi because of some references I had available I'll see about the other stuff when I have time. If there is anything in particular send me a message (can only watch so many pages at once ;) thanks. GrazingshipIV 08:39, May 7, 2004 (UTC)

[edit] User talk:Paedia#What are you trying to do?

Please forgive me. I am sorry I had not noticed the lists were removed, and was looking to compromise. If you would like, I can strikethrough that comment or remove it. Thank you, Pædia | talk 17:02, 2004 May 7 (UTC)

[edit] Requests for review of admin actions

What am I trying to do? I'm trying to delete postings by trolls who immediately come into a contentious article such as Requests for review of admin actions and begin posting without having ever been on Wikipedia before. RickK 20:45, 8 May 2004 (UTC)

Why do we care what trolls say or think? RickK 18:52, 9 May 2004 (UTC)

Because what they say may have some merit. Besides I'm not thinking about the trolls I'm thinking about newbies. I don't want people to get the impression that if you say something that's unliked, It'll be deleted. theresa knott 08:49, 10 May 2004 (UTC)

[edit] User talk:Mike Church

Thanks for letting me know, Theresa. I do not think it is a wiki convention to edit another wikipedian's signed comment. I'd be as happy if you would revert your edit; by all means comment on it on his page, but do not alter my words. Talk != article. Mike Church did not leave graciously, as his leaving note demonstrates. I would be gracious if he were to show the slightest understanding of the reasons others laboured to revert his hijacking of articles to promote his game, or apologised for his foul abuse. As he has done neither of these, I would not wish him to labour under the delusion that a hypocritical signoff message makes everything better. Best wishes --Tagishsimon

I take your point; I will not revert it. Meanwhile, I think Mike's back as a sock puppet - there was a Mike-like comment after yours in my talk page which I conclude to be his sock puppet ... so I'm satisfied my message was read and understood by him. Ho hum. --Tagishsimon
I'm about to chastize him now, and i will keep an eye on his edits for a while. theresa knott 08:20, 12 May 2004 (UTC)
The ideal reaction of someone who's had their words refactored for WikiLove is gratitude, which happens more times than you might think[1]. Thank you (not for keeping an eye on the possible puppet, but) for refactoring! I'm feeling quite contrite this evening ;) --Tagishsimon
  • hey Theresa this is Yammy just wanted you to veiw my page and see if it is good to stay. Its on All Saints Construction. I've been trying to get a fricking page up that will stay but i guess none of mine are good enough for that troll RickK. he is such a jerk. well gtg thanks for giveing me a chance I wont let you down.
  • Theresa help! their after me. they wont leave me alone. I just want to help but i cant find anything to write about so i write about crazy stuff that i know isnt allready taken up

can i write news articles?

[edit] Yammy

How much longer are we going to put up with the shenanigans? Sometimes he seems willing to learn, but most of the time he seems like a troll. What's your read of the situation -- should I continue to try and help, or just follow him around and revert the bizarre deletion notices, etc.? :-) I always like to welcome in good contributors, but I'm not sure he even wants to be one. [edit] Marshall, Texas

Would you please review the Marshall, Texas article for sps and POV, I would like to nominate it for featured articles per your and Acegikmo1's opinions.

-JCarriker 20:37, May 15, 2004 (UTC)

Hi, I got an email to the address that I post on Wikipedia:Administrators, asking for your email address. I quote it:

I am looking to contact Theresa Knott by e-mail. I am a high school administrator and would like to chat with her about one of my student's use of the Wikipedia website. If you could supply me with her e-mail address I would be greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

I don't know what your email address is; perhaps I could find it in a mailing list archive, but I don't want to give it out without your permission anyway. And the email that I got didn't give me permission to give out the address that it came from. So I'm asking both of you for permission to give your addresses to the other, and then maybe I can get you in touch. ^_^

-- Toby Bartels 20:45, 17 May 2004 (UTC)

It sounds dodgy to me. If someone wants to contact me, why didn't they leave a note on my talk page? This could be legit, I have dealt with a few highschool kids doing at bit of mucking about and light vandalism. But it could also be one of the kids themselves mailbomb at the ready. Don't give my address to anyone please. theresa knott 21:22, 17 May 2004 (UTC)

Don't worry, I'm not giving out your address without your permission. (I haven't tried to track down what it is in the first place!) I already wrote the person back, telling them explicitly how to write to you on this page. So hopefully, they will do that if they are legit. -- Toby Bartels 23:41, 17 May 2004 (UTC)

Hephaestos has already moved the article to the candidates page. Please vote as soon as is convenient for you. --JCarriker 19:06, May 18, 2004 (UTC)

[edit] abuse

Why, might I ask, are you putting up with so much abuse on alt medicine? I will admit I am new to these matters, but... Good Lord! I'm not sure I can recollect seeing anyone be quite so rude! I was just trying to review the talk page, and I was taken aback, sincerely astounded. Sam [Spade] 14:10, 19 May 2004 (UTC)

I just find it appaling. Your not entirely blameless either, but from what I have seen the stuff from you is less frequent, and more reactive than anything. I can accept cranks, quacks, nutters, even commies or nazis, but rude and abusive people? Thats just not called for. Maybe this needs to go back to arbitration, or perhaps you might find other areas of the wiki to focus on? I understand that you might not mind, or think its a big deal, but I cringe looking at talk:alt medicine, and I'm not alone. Sam [Spade] 23:31, 20 May 2004 (UTC)

Well then I think arbitration is the way to go, because even if you can put up w it its unnaceptable for others to be exposed to it. Your right of course that avoiding a problem is almost never the best way to solve it, but it would certainly be understandable if you did. Also, please try to be meticulous about obeying policy, since the both of them seem to be trying to put the focus on your "harassment" of them. Surely it won't go anywhere, but its easier to understand whats going on when its ALL one sided. P.S. did you actually threaten to show them naked pics of yourself? Thats really over the top, lol.. Sam [Spade] 02:05, 21 May 2004 (UTC)

Hehe, yeah, go figure... see where wit can get ya? ;) Its weird to me, because I don't like the concept of banning anybody, I just wish we could all get along :\ We havn't always agreed either, but the important thing is wikipedia:civility, which they clearly have little use for. I'm actually studying to be a psychoanalyst/hypnotist, and would like to do more editing on alt medicine, if not for the weird atmosphere. Sam [Spade] 02:26, 21 May 2004 (UTC)
I would like everyone to get along too, but i think it naive to suppose that we'll get by never having to ban anyone. Have we had disagreements in the past? I can't remember! - I have disagreements with loads of people. The world would be a very dull place if we all agreed about everything. I have had really quite heated arguments with some people in the past, but an argument between reasonable people who don't get personal that doesn't leave a sour taste in your mouth does no harm. I've gained a lot of respect both for and from people in the past, that i have clashed with. It's easy to say "sorry I got so upset last night" when tempers get a little frayed. It's not so easy when the person you are dealing with truly hates your guts, has been attacking you for what seems like forever, and appears to deliberately misinterpret everything you do as being about them. Never the less I did try and at least call a truce between me and MNH when he said he'd been ill. I wanted to say "get well soon" so i put a note on his talk page. He deleted it with the comment "deleting pollution by TK" [2] Oh well, I did try.theresa knott 09:38, 21 May 2004 (UTC)

Thats the kind of thing theres no excuse for. Civility is vital, and a slap to the face like that in response to well wishes... As far as conflict between the two of us, you can find it here (I was Jack then, since changed names due to harassment). Sam [Spade] 09:49, 21 May 2004 (UTC)

Sam I apologise for accusing you of trolling, and for being so curt with you during that exchange. I was well out of order (as they say round these parts). My respect for you has grown enormously since then. Had we had that conversation now, I would still have forcefully disagreed with you about Tannin's behaviour, but I would have taken you much more seriously than I did then. The fact that you are supportive of me now, despite how rude and dismissive I was of you then, shows you for what you are. Strong of character. theresa knott 11:09, 21 May 2004 (UTC)
Don't worry about it. If you noticed, even w tannin (who had a terrible opinion of me BTW, and prob still will if he comes back) I could tell he was generally a good admin, so its not surprising that you would defend him. My interests lie largely in religion and politics, topics that inspire savagery and assumptions of bad faith in the mildest amongst us. I was accused of trolling by not a few people when I first discovered the wikipedia: article spaces. Chalk it up to excess of opinion, and a misunderstanding on my part of the way of things here. I read so many policy pages w/o seeing how things actually worked that my view of things here was rather rose tinted. It didn't take me long to figure out that the wiki is much like every other aspect of life... namely a popularity contest ;) Admins DO have more say, and well-known, well-liked admins have ALOT more say. Not that this is a bad thing mind you, but some of the "everybody the same" egalitarian spirit in the policy pages lacks in realism. Seniority and being well liked are fundamentally empowering aspects of the behind the scenes hierarchy here. Anyhow, while I can understand the unfortunate side of newbie biting, I can also appreciate the difference between gratuitous harassment (such as you are now experiencing) and off-the-cuff defense of oneself and ones friends (as you are known for then and now). I for one don't find occasional sauciness on your part remotely justifying the sort of aggression you've been receiving, nor does anyone else (outside of your personal hecklers themselves) in my humble estimation. Keep your chin up, and whatever you do, don't let the bastards get you down! Cheers, Sam [Spade] 11:51, 21 May 2004 (UTC)

I have just read a bit of the alternative medicine stuff. I just wanted to post here to say that when I come across your edits they seem to be of high quality, and that I hope you keep contributing to wikipedia. And to give you a hug *hugs*. You said at one point that you apologized for a mistake. That alone convinces me that you are "in the right". I haven't seen your adversary apologize for anything. Thue 16:50, 26 May 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Please Join the IRC

Hello Ms. Knott, I think this situation between you and Mr.Natural Health, could be defused if you join the irc. I'm usually on it and good sysops such as Cimon are on it. Go to Wikipedia:IRC channels they will give you link to the IRC channel. If you have any problems Ms. Knott respond on my talk page. Thanks! Comrade Nick 20:19, 20 May 2004 (UTC)

Sorry but I'm in England and just about to go to bed. If you feel you or Cimon can diffuse the situation feel free to do so here. I'm quite happy to talk to you, MNH or anyone (with the exception of irismeister) on my talk page. theresa knott 20:54, 20 May 2004 (UTC)

Your rope analogy is apt. Someone seems to be fashioning himself a noose, or maybe just a leash, by barking at anyone who ventures onto that new page too. The foreign body knows exactly what he is doing with wit and malice, and is simply pleading for ejection -- I would have obliged him a week ago. This other one is so simple he can't be reasoned with, so ill-tempered I don't even want to try, and definitely has not mastered the "works and plays well with others" skill. But despite all that, his intentions are pure-- he is here to build an encyclopedia. Unfortunately, he is also a clueless tool for the troll. If you want a note from me in your defense, say the word. Alteripse 22:21, 20 May 2004 (UTC)

Ms. Knott I'm sure you don't mind that I put the alt. Medicine page on {{msg:disputed}}..because of this 'edit war'--Comrade Nick 05:48, 21 May 2004 (UTC)

Of course i don't mind, you don't even need to tell me.

[edit] Wik and Quagga

Theresa, you're the person I trust the most. Can you explain to me what the hell is going on? I see a ton of complaints on my talk page, but I have as yet been unable to find the actual pages (deleted or not) that are causing such an uproar. I think that you share my position that people should (a) leave Wik alone and (b) enforce the ban on Wik no problem and (c) do something more useful with their time.

The thing that I haven't been able to figure out is just what Quagga is doing that has Wik so upset. If I can find out, then maybe I'll put my foot down hard, and ban Quagga on my own authority, but I won't do that unless I can grasp that something bad really is happening.

Can you explain it to me (on my talk page, or maybe in email, where no one can erase it!). Jimbo Wales 03:22, 28 May 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Bridge in Venice by Leo Michelson.jpg

The Bridge in Venice by Leo Michelson.jpg, has disapeared from wiki. I was wondering why? Is it because it is on some server that is being tinkered with right now? Could it have been deleted and if so why and by whom?

I'd apreciate any theories or info you can give me. Please respond on my talk page.

[edit] Thanks

For both notes, which are more than welcome, and whose advice I am happy to have taken. :-) I'm doing my best to destress and avoid confrontation, but it is difficult (as you well know) to watch corners of a project you love being systematically mucked up with crap. I'm focusing on other things, though -- fiddling with templates, actually, and maybe doing more translation work, which I find challenging yet relaxing. Keep up your fine drawings and content edits - if either of us are going to survive this, I think we both need to stay sane. :-) Best wishes, Jwrosenzweig 19:58, 4 Jun 2004 (UTC)

You are probably very cute! You clearly have a sense of humor. ;-) Kd4ttc 22:32, 8 Jun 2004 (UTC)

In my own mind, I'm more than just cute, I'm stunning! (Of course other people probably have very different views but why should I let that bother me ;-)

If I didn't have a sense of humour the personal attacks would get me down, and i don't edit wikipedia for that. MNH can take as many swipes at me as he likes. He'll never upset me. theresa knott 09:47, 9 Jun 2004 (UTC)

[edit] CAM Boxes

Hi, I noticed you removed the CAM boxes from several pages, but then reinstated it on Food additive. Was this unintentional, or do you just belive emulsifiers and flavour enhancers is good to use as an alternative medicine? :-D Fuelbottle | Talk

Of course :) just wanted to notify you. Mr-natural-health sure keeps busy, it wouldn't suprise me if he started labeling physics articles as 100% alternative medicine either. I once looked in an "alternative" magazine and it had an article about something like how to use white holes as a medical treatment, I couldn't make much sense out of it but it would sure make this a 100% alternative target for mr-natural-health :/. Fuelbottle | Talk
Well it's impossible to make sense out of pseudoscientific gobbledegook. IMO quacks like to spout off about hot science topics to try and fool the public into accepting the legitimacy of their babble.Worse than quacks though, is the cosmetic industry. "This face cream contains microgranuals that cleanse every pore" microgranuals? That would be a powder! or the diet industry - "The nanomolecules in this cellulite cream encorage the release of toxins that cause cellulite buildup" Year right! the nanomolecules in question are any molecule they care to choose (they are all nano after all, why should buckminster fullerine get exclusive use of the title eh?) Still - a fool and his money are easily parted, and there is a sucker born every minute. And I don't particulaly care about protecting suckers from the sharks of this world. If you are stupid, you're gonna get preyed on, that's the way of the world.
However, people looking for facts on wikipedia deserve better. I have no intention of allowing MNH (or anyone for that matter) to mislead the readership into thinking that food additives, wrestling, depression, walking, etc etc etc are part of AM. The great thing about wikipedia is that the number of resonable people will always outnumber the likes of MNH. He may have busy fingers, but there are a lot more of us. theresa knott 10:29, 11 Jun 2004 (UTC)

[edit] I'd like you're advice on obtaining a picture.

I am currently working on Great Mosque of Djenné with the aim of hopefully getting up to a featured status in a couple of weeks. I have not yet finished the text but I am already looking for pictures. I've found a very rare picture of the ruins of the original mosque on a postcard at a coloumbia.edu domain. The postcard is from the early 20th century well below the demarcation for copyright expirations in the U.S., and the picture itself is from the 1890s. However I am not certain whether the post card or the picture of the postcard, which I imagine is significantly later, would be the relevant copyright date. I'd like to have it in the history section of the article, but given the consequences of a potential copyright violation I'd like your opinion before acting.

You can find the picture here. Thanks.

No word from columbia.edu, but Andy Gilham has given permission to use not just one but any of the pictures from his website. Permission via e-mail as follows:
Sure, I'd be happy for you to use the photos! I'll take a look at the newcomers page, it looks like it might be of interest to me.
Regards,

Looks like we might not only have secured the right to use a plethora of excellent photos, but may have also recruited a new wikipedian in the process!

I need your help in getting the article, Great Mosque of Djenné, up to featured standards. I'd appreciate it if you would review it, you can find two links that offer excellent resources on the mosque. I have completed the article format, it just needs verification and refinement. I haven't heard back from columbia in regards to the postcard, I'm thinking about adding it to the article, both the postcard and the photo are well before date at which copyrights are still valid. You said you didn't think that a picture of a postcard could be copyrighted, so I am considering uploading the photo please let me know what you think.

You might be interested in the discussion at Talk:Gay bathhouse#NPOV Poll, which gives the background to the comments I posted within the last 10 minutes or so.

Of course, you might not be, which is fine too... ;o)

Either way, thanks for adding your thoughts; impartial, disinterested opinion is what the whole debate needs right now — OwenBlacker 13:53, Jun 15, 2004 (UTC)

I'd rather see Jimbo's wishes that Wik's page be left alone respected. But at least what you have posted on Wik's page now is the least bad version of the posting that has been drafted so far. You should still consider posting this on a more appropriate venue. 172 10:13, 18 Jun 2004 (UTC)
