Darth Vader
I appreciate your nomination for Darth Vader to be a featured article but it really needs to go through another peer review first. Could you remove it so that a peer review could be done first. Jedi6-(need help?) 03:50, 18 March 2006 (UTC)

WP:FAC and WP:PR
Hi, Thefourdotelipsis. It's great that you're so enthusiastic about getting good articles Featured. But could you please only place one nomination at a time on WP:FAC? That is to say, wait until that nomination has "rolled off" the page before you nominate the next. Please see the WP:FAC instructions at the top of the page. The reason for this recommendation is that you're expected to "nurse" your nominations — take care of the objections, etc — (see the top of the page again), and it's difficult to do that properly for more than one article at a time. I'm glad to see that you've moved a couple of articles that were getting many objections to Peer Review. One thing, though: when you do list them on Peer review, could you please also remove them from FAC? Articles are never supposed to be on both pages at the same time, as that fragments the discussion. I'm going to remove Darth Vader and Laurence Olivier from WP:FAC now, just to make sure that they get the best chance they can on Peer review. Best wishes and good luck with your nominations, please don't be discouraged by all this! Bishonen | ノート 11:18, 18 March 2006 (UTC).
OneCone
Sir, why do you insist on deleting my additions to the OneCone article, claiming that it is 'vandalism'?? Also, I won't be able to come over to your place on Monday... David P. a. Hunter 11:04, 25 March 2006 (UTC)
Cinema Collaboration of the Week
Why remove the backlog tag so prematurely? The tag was only added so that a new article could have been chosen. Once you removed it, CrnaGora swept through and removed the nominations! Could you please explain your actions? Thanks — Ian Manka Talk to me‼ 03:52, 31 March 2006 (UTC)
Response
Well, seeing as no one selected a new candidate previously (I was afraid to, as I wasn't a regular member of the Films WikiProject), shouldn't the space between the last article before the backlog, and now be "frozen?" It would make sense that if no article was selected, that all nominations would remain current, and then the one nomination with the most votes would be selected. Is my logic wrong?
If that is not the case -- then I feel that any article that was "removed" and placed on the "/Removed" sub-page of the CCotW page can be resubmitted. Articles that were not selected from that time did not follow procedure, and I will not stand for it! Therefore, I am going to resubmit the article in question. Any concerns, please contact me at my talk page. — Ian Manka Talk to me‼ 06:00, 3 April 2006 (UTC)

No thanks
Clearly you just added it to the film infobox without discussion so please spare me the "to conform with.." logic. The talk page clearly shows people against the idea and it was removed not long agofrom the film infobox. James Bond has its own template for more personalized information (e.g., who was Bond, who performed the theme song, etc. and the it has been reviewed and okayed by WP:TFD) and does not need to conform to the Film infobox. I do not agree with the addition and will continue to revert. K1Bond007 03:03, 29 April 2006 (UTC)
- You mean to say the articles that you added it to. I've seen your contributions. K1Bond007 03:09, 29 April 2006 (UTC)
- I'm not going to solely debate this with you. If you believe it should be there then please gather support on the discussion page for the infobox (film) before adding it back. K1Bond007 03:28, 29 April 2006 (UTC)

I noticed your comments in the Movie project infobox page, regarding a tomatoe template that would display Rotten Tomatoe's Freshness %. I've never seen this before, but I think it's a great idea. Casablanca
Hi, thanks for your contribution to the Casablanca article. However, we can't just use fair use images whenever we want to- it needs to be for the purpose of critical commentary. In this case we already have one picture identifying the main characters, so there's no justification for using more pictures of them. The minor actors, meanwhile, are by their nature not discussed in depth, so there's no justification for their pics either. It might be useful though to add their pictures to their own articles, since there we do give them more discussion. Incidentally, Wikipedia style is to only capitalise the first letter in each heading, not the first letter in every word. Cheers, HenryFlower 09:19, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
Sorry, I missed the Rains bit. I've re-added it. HenryFlower 08:11, 11 May 2006 (UTC)
Stubs
Hi there. I noticed some of the articles you've created (e.g., Clive Morton, Helen Haye) are more sub-stubs than stubs - without a little more information to place the article in context, they are not very helpful even as stubs. Please consider adding a little more information when you create a stub. For an actor, this could include a link to their credits on The Internet Movie Database. Also, when creating new articles please be sure to categorise them, for example by adding [[Category:American film actors|Surname, Firstname]]. If you know the years of birth and death, these can be added, e.g. [[Category:1990 deaths|Surname, Forename]]. Thanks, and happy editing. —Whouk (talk) 09:35, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
- No problem. Something else I need to mention: the images of Audrey Hepburn and Laurence Olivier on your user page are tagged as copyrighted images which need a "fair use" justification whenever they are placed on an article. Images like this may only be used on appropriate articles in only in the main article space - they shouldn't be used on user pages. Could you remove them please? Sorry to be a bother :) —Whouk (talk) 09:16, 16 May 2006 (UTC)

Empire
I was actually planning on starting on TPM next. Then I was going to go forward to ANH, ESB, and then ROTJ. But if you are going to start on ESB as soon as you're done with Olivier, I'd be happy to put TPM on hold for it. Also, I skimmed through the Olivier article and though it seems well put together, I think it needs expansion, I good note is that FA voters don't like one paragraph sections which you seem to have a lot of. Just a note for now. Expand, but make sure you cite everything you add, otherwise you're just wasting your time. Good luck! The Filmaker 16:11, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
- If I have the time I will run over Richard III, at the moment I'll say that my intention with the cast sections are to summarize the characters for the reader in the same way that the plot summary summarizes the plot. The reader will gain access to a little more information than what is offered through four or five condensed paragraphs on story. However, how I format my articles is of no concern from you. I find nothing wrong with your articles use of the cast section to describe the actor rather than the character. I find it to be close to FA and at the very least a definate good article. I'm flattered that you've based the article's format off of mine and Casablanca's. But as you can see every article can be formatted in a different, yet still be just as effective. Hell, Revenge of the Sith was in turn based off of the formatting of Blade Runner, namely placing the production section on top. I like my format, and I think you have good format as well. It's coming along nicely, and if you don't get it through this time. Don't give up, Sith was actually my third try at getting a featured article, and I told myself "If this one doesn't work! I'm giving up!" and it go through. And I'm still here. :) The Filmaker 04:25, 26 June 2006 (UTC)

Film templates
Hi there FourDot! Your templates (for films by John Sturges, George Lucas, Blake Edwards, Victor Fleming, et al) are lovely but I'm having the dickens of a time going to each stub article and assigning categories and stub types to them. If you happen to know anything about a film, i.e. genre, would you please use a more specific stub type, like comedy-film-stub or silent-film-stub? It will keep our main film-stub cat from getting too bloated (again) and save me a lot of trips to IMDb for plot descriptions. Thanks so much. Cheers, ♥ Her Pegship♥ 21:33, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
Does it needs more copyediting?
The last thing that needs to be done is to tame the cast section. Can you turn all of those bolded statements like: Son, brother, sister, into a sentence describing each character? Yes, I know that we should know who these people are from Shakespear, but I think it would be helpful, and more insightful than a one word descriptor. Check out the ROTS or the V for Vendetta (film) articles for examples. (How easy is this to do for you? If you see any problems with this, please say so, as I've never seen the movie myself). --P-Chan 02:38, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
- I've removed my oppose, but keep copyediting it! Just take some care in reading and shaping it, or get a friend to go over it.--P-Chan 00:28, 29 June 2006 (UTC)

Ok, I admire your creative solution to the "problem" of this article title, but I think that's taking "be bold" a bit too far. If you really want to move the article, propose it on Wikipedia:Requested moves, but be warned that temperatures have run high on this issue before. Wikipedia has always had a mixture of American and British spellings, and the simplest solution all round is to leave articles wherever they are. — sjorford++ 08:45, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
