Thank you!
Thank you very much. I do truly appreciate your help. All the better to get the information out! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by St. Louis Children's Hospital (talk • contribs) 22:40, 21 December 2006 (UTC).
- I'm glad my advice, and the advice of a number of more experienced editors has helped. Don't hesitate to ask more questions, that's why we're here. Cheers! Budgiekiller 22:42, 21 December 2006 (UTC)
Re: moving pages
Uhh...but his name is Steven Wright...so unless you want to look stupid, I suggest you leave it. -- SilvaStorm
- Hello! You'll note that if you read the discussion page that there is still some discussion over his name. I don't mind looking stupid as long as I edit politely and don't move pages without ever discussing it. Please try to be civil. Glad to see you fixed your signature, by the way! Cheers! Budgiekiller 09:12, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
- No, look at the talk page for the article. There is still some discussion over the name of the suspect so until it's resolved, and by all means join in with the debate, the page should not be moved. Editors acting in an uncivil fashion looks worse for Wikipedia than a reasonable, well sourced debate that reaches a consensus before making rash and drastic changes. Cheers! Budgiekiller 09:23, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
- Hi there, scuse me butting in on your conversation..... :-D His name is Steve G J Wright, as I noted on his articles discussion page. Ancestry.co.uk and Norfolk pub licencing (or something like that!) page both call him that. Tractor Boys 4 eva! ;-) Jcuk 10:56, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
- Hi, not a problem, especially from a fellow Blue Army boy! Yeah, it's a good citation that one. Still, there seems to be a lot of discussion around whether the article should even exist right now! But good work nevertheless - the provision of a citation is always useful! Budgiekiller 10:58, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
Well, I'm in two minds about the existance of the article. Personally I think it should be semi protected and contain nothing but bare biographical information....but that may just be me. Jcuk 19:15, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
Archiving
Any chance you can help archive my talk page? I just can't get my head round it. Thanks! --Dweller 11:39, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

Wikitainment
Sorry for taking so long. Here is a link to the main page. http://wikitainment.selfip.org/Wikitainment/index.php/Main_Page. It really still is in a state of being set up. If you have any questions ask me there. --§Sir James Paul<<--wikiholic§ 01:31, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
Ahmednagar
I am sorry for that. I have been to Ahmednagar many times and I do understand his/her concern. I shall remain calm. Thank you for looking into this matter. Mrtag 03:58, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
Tips
Will you look at how I am fighting vandalism right now and tell me what I am doing right and tell me what I can do to do better. --§Sir James Paul<<--wikiholic§ 02:04, 24 December 2006 (UTC)

- I think that your source reliability has been answered on the talk page in question. You need to follow the notes in Wikipedia's notability policy to provide suitable sources to prevent you articles being prematurely deleted. Let me know if you'd like to discuss this further! Cheers. Thank you!
Thanks for the welcome, and especially for your help with the spammer last night. Next time I'll come to you straight away! :-) --Bonadea 10:29, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
- You're more than welcome! Cheers! Budgiekiller 10:31, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
Please take a look at this...
Wikipedia:Categories_for_deletion/Log/2006_December_26#Category:Football_managers_by_club. Oh yes, incidentally (as per your user page) do you love leeches? And if we sell Earnie, I'm off to support a proper football team like Colchester United--Dweller 14:24, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
- I've added my opinion, not dissimilar to your own. I'd be more worried about Tamworth F.C. if I were you! Budgiekiller 18:22, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
Hi Budgie
Where are you from? Morris Munroe 13:08, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
- Hi Morris, I'm from the wilds of East Anglia in the UK. Why do you ask? Budgiekiller 20:57, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
- I'm just curious, you know. Well, greetings and a happy new year. Morris Munroe 20:48, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
Hi from Italy!
Hi, thank you for your welcome! I've been working on Italian wikipediad for a 1 year, I also have the same nick in English version, but my English isn't really good (as you can notice!). Anyway, adding interwiki is very simple and maybe I can also had some footballer biography, cycling contributions and so on... --Lanerossi 17:32, 1 January 2007 (UTC)
Image use
Can I use one of your images to make my own userbox? Kamope 20:03, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
- Sure, my images are all public domain (as far as I recall) and if not, then just let me know which one and I'll make sure it is so there's no issue with fair use. Cheers! Budgiekiller 20:56, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
Vandalism
Your user page has been vandalised once for every country you've visited.
I suggest you stop travelling. --Dweller 16:38, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
- That's one approach. Alternatively if it's only been vandalised a couple of hundred times before I get bored of travelling them I'm clearly not doing my vandal hunting job properly!! Budgiekiller 17:15, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
User:Timmaio
Hi, i'm curious what "VP" is. I tried to revert that page above after it was vandalized, but it won't let me and you edited there last. Just H 19:26, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
- Thank you, I will. Also, if you could, please always feel free to let me know how I can improve as a Wikipedian. Just H 19:31, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
- Mostly just how I can become "good enough" to be an administrator. Many of the policies don't make sense and the method in making them seems extremely vague. I'd like to help somehow if possible. Just H 21:05, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
User namespace templates
Hey there. I just ran across a warning that I think you typed by hand. I thought I'd pass on a resource I've found helpful: WP:UTM. It's a big list of things like {{blank}} that is basically what you typed. Saves time, etc. :) Cheers! --Brad Beattie (talk) 19:37, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
disambiguation pages
hey, thanks for catching that note on Colombia. i noticed your userbox denoting your expertise in disambig. pages, and was hoping you'd point me to the right place to learn how to make them. i've got one that needs to be made, but all i can find is how to FIX them, not create them. cheers! BROWNLOW
I HAD SOME FUN WITH THE BROWNLOW ARTICLE; AND ALTHOUGH MY COMMENTS WERE SINCERE--I DID NOT EXPECT THEM TO STAY.
ONE THING THAT DID SUPRISE ME WAS YOUR LACK OF SCHOLARSHIP IN THE ARTICLE. YOU FAILED TO MENTION THE HISTORICAL FACTS OF BROWNLOWS ILLEGAL ABROGATION OF THE RIGHTS OF THE TENNESSEE LEGISLATURE TO PHILIBUSTER--Bold textBY STANDING THEM IN FRONT OF A FIRING SQUAD!!!!! Bold textYOU HAVE ALSO FORGOTTEN TO MENTION HIS EXTREME VITRIOL IN CALLING FOR THE IMMEDIATE EXECUTION OF REPATRIATED CONFEDERATE SOLDIERS---AMERICANS BY DECREE OF THE US FEDERAL GOVERNMENT. IF MY CONTRIBUTIONS ARE PERSONAL(AND THEY CERTAINLY WERE!)AND NOT WORTHY OF INCLUSION THROUGHTHE FILTER OF YOUR GREAT SCHOLARSHIP ON THIS SUBJECT---THEN PLEASE ACCURATELY INCLUDE THE HISTORIC FACT OF EVENTS DESCRIBED ABOVE. THAT WAY Italic textYOU!Italic textCAN DEMONSTRATE SOME SCHOLARSHIP. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 4.88.34.135 (talk) 20:41, 3 January 2007 (UTC).
- Hi there. I think you'll find if you examine the history of the William Gannaway Brownlow article (where your added this), you will see that I have never edited it at all, and do not make any claim over scholarship. All I did was remove your edit which was clearly vandalism. If you'd like to discuss this further, don't hesitate to get back to me. Cheers! Budgiekiller 20:46, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
Megadeth
I was fixing "Megadeth," not vandalizing. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.248.175.150 (talk) 20:46, 3 January 2007 (UTC).
- Hi there. Can you let me know what part of the article you were fixing when you added the following: "The next person who changes this site should go fuck themselves!", because, to me, it appeared to be vandalism from an anonymous IP without an edit summary. Cheers! Budgiekiller 20:50, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
Pal, I went to the "Megadeth" page, and all the material had been erased by some METALLICA-cronie, saying something along the lines of, "Fuck Megadeth, Metallica rocks!" I clicked on the edit page and was able to bring the info back up. I may have taken it into my own hands, but I was sending a message to someone who had obviously done this before. Next time, I'll shoot you a ring! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.248.175.150 (talk • contribs).
- Hey, I can understand that you felt obliged to remove the edit you didn't approve and add your own style of warning to the perpertrator. However, the best way to do this is to revert the edit and leave a {{subst:test}} template on their talk page. You can find a list of these templates here. That way, your edits will not be considered vandalism. Hope this helps, but by all means, get in touch in the future if you need any more advice. Cheers! Budgiekiller 21:08, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
Thanks, brah! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.248.175.150 (talk • contribs).
- You're very welcome! Budgiekiller 21:25, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
I have a feeling that there still may be some blind-faith-Metallica fans bashing Megadeth's page. Haha, I'll keep you posted! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.248.175.150 (talk • contribs).
- I expect you're right! Let me know if you need any help! Just as an aside, it helps other editors if you leave an edit summary. That way your edits are much less likely to be mistaken for vandalism. Cheers! Budgiekiller 21:54, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
- Oh, and don't forget to sign your posts on talk pages by using the 4 tildes i.e. ~~~~, even while you're editing from an anonymous IP address! Cheers! Budgiekiller 21:55, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
disambiguating success!
got it. now it seems like it shouldn't have been so hard. thanks for the help! Murderbike 20:49, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
- Not a problem, looks like you got it spot on! Don't hesitate to get in touch again if you need anything else. Cheers! Budgiekiller 20:52, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
oi!
why did you delete the thing i wrote on stillington! he loves it! please put it back!!!!!!!!!!!! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 81.153.11.148 (talk • contribs).
- Because your edit was clearly non-encyclopaedic! If you'd like to discuss this further, then please let me know! Cheers! Budgiekiller 21:29, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
VP
I actualy do not use VP. I use Wikiguard a revert button, and I have something that allows me to add a warning just by clicking a button. In all those tools make things quite a bit faster. I could go even faster if I was a sysop because there revert button is a lot faster than mine. That is why I want to become a sysop so bad. Also I could block those who have had a final warning. Do you think that I could try out in a Rfa before may? Maybe around February 20? God bless. --Sir James Paul 22:05, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
Bug in anti vandalism tool?
I just reverted some vandalism on Emoticon. When I went to warn the user, I noticed you had already warned them about the same vandalism! If you were using a tool (Vandal Proof, from your user page?), you might want to let them know it has a bug. Dave6 04:52, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
- Hmm, that's strange indeed! I certainly warned the user a few seconds after he made his edit, I guess the rollback didn't work. I've sometimes had problems with saving the page after a rollback using VandalProof so this could be what happened. Thanks for letting me know! Budgiekiller 06:58, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
You have been nominated to become an administrator

4,000 edits in 2 weeks pretty much says it all. When do you sleep?! The Transhumanist 04:48, 5 January 2007 (UTC) |
- Hey, thanks for that, and thanks for the vote in my RFA, very much appreciated. Oh, and sleep? I don't need to sleep, I just need to whack vandals...! Budgiekiller 08:13, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
Your name
I was very pleased (relieved) to learn that your user name doesn't refer to the killing of cute little talking birds, but rather to defeating a rival football team. The Transhumanist 12:08, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
- There are those who have a love for a certain very flat county who might beg to differ! :-) --Dweller 12:14, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
Your RfA
Concerning your recent edit summary where you said you don't think it's going well: I don't think it's going that badly, really. Still majority support at present. Try not to feel disheartened, although I imagine it can be a nervey experience! By the way, I "don't like" your team because they beat my team by a sizeable margin earlier this season! :( Bubba hotep 13:14, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
- Aha, I'm not a budgie. I'm not going to tell you who I support, but it was a bigger margin than what you beat them by! :P On a serious note: sometimes I think people do not see the wood for the trees when it comes to contribs. That's all I will say! Bubba hotep 13:24, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
You've got another question at the VC, on vandalism
I almost didn't catch this one...
User:The Transhumanist/Virtual classroom#Are we doing this right?

- Done, albeit a bit on the slow side! Budgiekiller 09:11, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
