User talk:The Inedible Bulk

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I came up with the name The Inedible Bulk when needing a good name for some forums. It was, obviously, a highly edited version of The Incredible Hulk.

[edit] There Inc

Are There, Inc. and Second Life really necessary? --Brockert 02:46, Apr 11, 2004 (UTC)

They were linked from the There page, There, Inc. that is. I usually create things linked from a page, but if it's a problem, please feel free to remove the page for There, Inc., and in doing so, remove the link from There as well. Second Life is directly related to There, it's like Macintosh to Windows. --TIB 04:32, Apr 11, 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Sigh...

  • Thanks for the vote of confidence on the Village Pump. Unfortunately, the B-Movie Bandit template has been nominated by another user for deletion. The B-Movie Bandit is killing me, I tell ya. - Lucky 6.9 06:33, 15 Aug 2004 (UTC)
    • I voted to keep it. --TIB 06:38, Aug 15, 2004 (UTC)

[edit] There

Stating the thing about the patches is ok, but we shouldn't try to compromise or displease vandals in an encyclopedic article. supadawg - Talk 18:00, 21 Aug 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Editing

You're marking a lot of your edits as minor edits when they should be marked as regular edits. Don't be so hard on yourself, people who are watching the page want to see your edits too. Go ahead and mark them as major when you add content. - Mescad (recovering minor-edit addict)

I have them auto mark as minor edits. Most of mine are pretty minor. Sometimes I make a major and forget to change it. I've been trying to get out of that habit lately, but sometimes I slip. --TIB (talk) 02:51, Aug 29, 2004 (UTC) (Recovering boredom addict)

[edit] I think you may care, and I'm wrong

http://www.champcarfanatics.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20208

I was looking at wikipedia today and decided to see what they had on the EARL. The article wasn't sufficiently negative, so I made some changes:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indy_Racing_League

Someone else might want to add to that. -- 4.176.57.54 | talk | contributions

This is your last warning. The next time you vandalize a page you will be blocked from editing. --TIB (talk) 20:43, Sep 4, 2004 (UTC)

[edit] World of Warcraft screenshot

Hi.. I replaced the second image in the World of Warcraft article with that new screenshot, I think it looks much better now. Nice one! —Stormie 07:03, Sep 5, 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Article Licensing

Hi, I've started a drive to get users to multi-license all of their contributions that they've made to either (1) all U.S. state, county, and city articles or (2) all articles, using the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike (CC-by-sa) v1.0 and v2.0 Licenses or into the public domain if they prefer. The CC-by-sa license is a true free documentation license that is similar to Wikipedia's license, the GFDL, but it allows other projects, such as WikiTravel, to use our articles. Since you are among the top 2000 Wikipedians by edits, I was wondering if you would be willing to multi-license all of your contributions or at minimum those on the geographic articles. Over 90% of people asked have agreed. For More Information:

To allow us to track those users who muli-license their contributions, many users copy and paste the "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" template into their user page, but there are other options at Template messages/User namespace. The following examples could also copied and pasted into your user page:

Option 1
I agree to multi-license all my contributions, with the exception of my user pages, as described below:
DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual

OR

Option 2
I agree to multi-license all my contributions to any U.S. state, county, or city article as described below:
DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual

Or if you wanted to place your work into the public domain, you could replace "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" with "MultiLicensePD". If you only prefer using the GFDL, I would like to know that too. Please let me know what you think at my talk page. It's important to know either way so no one keeps asking. -- Ram-Man (comment| talk)

I've answered your comment on my talk page. Ram-Man (comment) (talk)[[]] 14:20, Dec 13, 2004 (UTC)

[edit] game.com network image

Nice picture, TIB. It fits well with the article. I never bothered with the internet connection myself - it is interesting to see all the stuff that was needed to make it work. Are you still into handheld gaming? I am knee-deep in Advance Wars: Dual Strike on the DS right now. That and the PSP's new web browser and the promise of Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories has me pretty excited. -Armaced 17:29, 28 August 2005 (UTC)

gamecom is the newest portable player i own but if GTA:LCS is as good as it's cracked up to be, it's PSP time. --TIB (talk) 19:39, August 28, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Moral Character article

I'm very sorry if I upset you. I appologize. I was RC patroling for vandalism and came across the edit. It looked to me to be blanking.

From WP:VAND:
Blanking
Removing all or significant parts of articles (sometimes replacing the removed content with profanities) is a common vandal edit.

In trying to maintain NPOV, I was not comparing the bulk of the article to my moral compass or judging it in any way, shape or form. Is it not suspicious when an anon editor removes a large chunk of an article and all the edit summary says is "Garbage"? Sorry for the inconvenience. thadius856talk 09:32, 22 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image:RichardKyanka-PressPhoto.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:RichardKyanka-PressPhoto.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add Replaceable fair use disputed
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Chowbok 18:42, 5 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Proposed Deletion: Therebucks

[edit] Therebucks

I've added the "prod" template to the article Therebucks, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at Talk:Therebucks. You may remove the deletion notice, and the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria. [edit] Goon's affliction

Please do not add nonsense to Wikipedia, as you did to the Goon's affliction page. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. NawlinWiki 18:56, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
