[edit] Userpage

Not a huge message, but thanks for reverting vandalism on my userpage when I was offline!  H4cksaw  (talk) 09:37, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

No problem mate ^_^ ≈ The Haunted Angel (The Forest Whispers My Name) 13:42, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Excuse me

i just got on Wikipedia again today, and it seems you believe i am a sockpuppet. i am not. i am ONX, look me up. 209.217.66.150 17:57, 10 February 2007 (UTC)

Sorry, who are you? ≈ THA //See Evil//Speak Evil//Hear Evil// 17:49, 11 February 2007 (UTC)

i am ONX ONX 19:31, 11 February 2007 (UTC).

After a little searching round despite your very vague explanation as to why you've decided to tarnish my Talk Page, I have discovered that I plodged a warning template on your IP talk page. I never accused you of sock puppetry. Oh, and please do not be abusive to admins; from what I've seen, you seem to have an authority problem on this site. ≈ THA //See Evil//Speak Evil//Hear Evil// 19:43, 11 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Question

When is it appropriate to make an MK game title a link and when to leave it as just text? I was making some changes to the Chameleon page today(mostly just grammatical stuff) and I changed "Mortal Kombat: Armageddon" to Mortal Kombat: Armageddon, but you reverted it back to just plain text. - Fuzzd0rk 20:54, 13 February 2007 (UTC)

The link only needs to be there once - throughout any article, a link should only be made twice if it's really needed, such as in an info box. You had also made one MKA a link a few edits back; unless that is the only MKA link there is, it should also be removed. ≈ The Haunted Angel //The Forest Whispers My Name// 21:53, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
Ok. I actually had put it in there a few times, but I changed them back to plain text since there is already a link for MKA at the top of article. - Fuzzd0rk 22:10, 13 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] ER

Hey, wanted to let you know I finally gave you an editor review, since it's so belated I figured you might have forgotten about it by now! delldot | talk 16:00, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

Well thanks very much for the really positive response to the review, even though some of it was critical; that takes a strong person to be able to respond so maturely.  :) See you around, delldot | talk 16:29, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
Huh, interesting. It looks like that template's been deleted now (as well as Template:Removewarn [1]) and I suspect this is after a lengthy discussion such as that at Wikipedia:Removing warnings and Wikipedia:Centralized discussion/Removing warnings. In reality, there's no consensus about it: some feel it's vandalism, others feel it's against policy but not vandalism, still others feel that it's discouraged but not against policy, and still others feel it's ok. It's not likely to reach consensus any time soon, so by default it stays not formally prohibited. But I still think a large enough group of editors feels that they shouldn't be removed that it's ok to replace them, especially given that it can be useful for determining when it's time to block someone. Peace, delldot | talk 17:28, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] American Brit

Who iss this Brit guy you're tawking about? Whoever he is I'm not him, I've got more important things to worry about right now. --CombinationOfTheAbove 20:15, 3 March 2007 (UTC)

Odd, that you don't know who he is, yet your 4th ever edit was primarilly about him, whilst your 5th accused someone of being him. Either way, you are still under Check User here. ≈ The Haunted Angel //The Forest Whispers My Name// 20:37, 3 March 2007 (UTC)

Hello Haunted Angel. I am sorry you think that I am this Brit guy you are talking about but I am not. I hav eon been on Wikipedia a few days. But the check user will prove me innocent. Eng 21:16, 3 March 2007 (UTC)

Well, that's the point of the Check User, to see who is who. If it turns out you are not Brit, you have my apologies. ≈ The Haunted Angel //The Forest Whispers My Name// 21:43, 3 March 2007 (UTC)

And it will show I am not Brit , is that right ? Yea its Brit I had diffculy there remembering who I was being accused of being. Anyway I am ionnocent and I am sorry believe that I am gulity. Eng 21:54, 3 March 2007 (UTC)

How long will it take to get results from checkuser. Eng 00:42, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

However long it takes for someone with the Check User ability to join this case. ≈ The Haunted Angel //The Forest Whispers My Name// 00:48, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

I just want this to end and be proven innocent. After can we friends? Eng 00:50, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

As hard as it is to define friendship on an online encyclopedia, then sure. Besides, as long as no one has done nothing wrong, there's no reason for me not to be anyone's friend here :) ≈ The Haunted Angel //The Forest Whispers My Name// 01:03, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

Could you speed up the check user? I want my name cleared. Eng 01:07, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

I'm afraid we have to be patient and wait for someone to get to our case, there are others aswell y'know. ≈ The Haunted Angel //The Forest Whispers My Name// 01:17, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

Who is this Brit you keep talking about? A past vandal or something? Eng 01:18, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Rudolph Hess I did NOT remove any content, and resent the accusation

I removed some year-only links per Wikipedia:Manual of Style (links)#Overlinking and underlinking: what's the best ratio, and a couple unnecessary commas--nothing else, just moved some stuff to better places. The edit was entirely supported by the MoS and other WP policies and guidelines. 76.22.4.86 20:21, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

Woops, totally my fault - I was using Vandal Proof and must have given your edit an under-deserved look, and mistakenly deemed it vandalism. I have removed the template from your talk page, and you have my apologies. ≈ The Haunted Angel //The Forest Whispers My Name// 20:26, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Mediator

Hi. I found you on that YoungOcelot guy's talk page while I was scrolling through it, and you seem like a nice guy. Would you mind acting as a mediator between me and Cody6 on the Urban Dead talk page? He insists that the Big Bash deserves a mention since it nearly destroyed the human population of the game, but me and the other guys don't think it does since, well, it didn't. I've tried telling him he can mention it if he doesn't sound too biased, and I've tried telling him it won't make it since so many people are disagreeing, but he refuses to come to an agreement. --Red Shotgun 20:33, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

Hey. I shouldn't have to act as a mediator anyway - no matter what the situation, different users should be able to talk things out on the talk page without trouble. If one person refuses to listen, then there's not much else they can do until they break the Three Revert Rule. Besides, I know nothing about the subject at hand anyway. ≈ The Haunted Angel //The Forest Whispers My Name// 20:44, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] ??

I am totally unsure why you removed my i/p on the IP multimedia system. It was done in good faith and improves the article!

If you can provide me a link to my edit, I will explain, but, as you can see from one of the previous edits, I was using Vandal Proof and havn't exactly been on the ball tonight, so it may be that I made another error. ≈ The Haunted Angel //The Forest Whispers My Name// 21:12, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

Yes, i think there has been error here, http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=IP_Multimedia_Subsystem&diff=112633857&oldid=112633779
Pls would you also revert the message on my talk page. Regards 195.137.42.134 21:16, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
Bah, that's what's happens when you don't pay enough attention. I have removed the template, you have my apologies. ≈ The Haunted Angel //The Forest Whispers My Name// 21:45, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Skeletons in Dani's kitchen

Not a problem. I don't know if he does or doesn't but it had been listed on the page since I can remember and I don't remember anything previously listed about a glass box. Then I saw "sinked" (that was changed for no good reason). I assumed it was yet another joker (since Dani's page has been getting hammered a bit of late). Sorry for the bother! -- Borameer 00:07, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

No problem mate, I myself am usually over-skeptical of Anon edits, especially to pages that are vandalised frequently, such as Dani's.

to explain the edit I made was their is no supporting edivence that he become a member of the church of Fonz, so I'm reverting it back —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Alkaline Trio Rocks (talkcontribs) 19:19, 27 March 2007 (UTC).

At the end of the said episode, he is seen worshipping the Fonz, therefore he is either a member of the Church of the Fonz or simply worships him. ≈ The Haunted Angel //The Forest Whispers My Name// 19:42, 27 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Dusk and Midian

Howdo, Lad. Right - this is all to do with what one takes "concept album" to mean. Strictly speaking, no, Dusk and Midian aren't concept albums because they don't tell a story. But... they are both based around running themes, and they're even fixed in a location (Carpathia for Dusk, and Midian for Midian). Dusk doesn't tell the story of, say, Carmilla in the way that Cruelty tells a story of Elizabeth Bathory, but all the songs seem to be about vampires, and all the sapphic vampire stuff seems quite intended to evoke Le Fanu and a particular run of Hammer films from the seventies. The songs don't combine into a narrative, but they're all thematically linked in a way that they're not on Nymphetamine and Thornography. Same thing with Midian - the songs don't run together and retell Cabal / Nightbreed, but the album's called Midian, it was recorded, according to the Music for Nations website, with some sort of blessing from Clive Barker, Doug Bradley is on it, the cover shows the gates of Midian, the opening track is The Gates of Midian, and the tracks are all linked by the idea of the freaks and weirdos congregating in this place. It's a series of short stories set in Midian. Plus I've always taken Lord Abortion to be narrated by Decker (but that might just be my own take, I've no evidence that's true!).

So I'd argue that they're both pseudo-concept albums. I'd argue that Nymphetamine was the first full album since Principle not to be a concept album. I don't think you're wrong exactly, but it's one of those grey areas like the genre where we're probably best not to be too specific. There's not really any need to come flat out and say categorically that "Cruelty is their first concept album" and "Damnation is their second" (and Damnation isn't fully a concept album anyway because there are stand-alone tracks on there that don't relate to each other) - it's enough to just say they're concept albums. It's not really important to place them numerically.

That's what I reckon! Cardinal Wurzel 19:32, 29 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Checkuser procedure

You recently compiled and listed a case at requests for checkuser. A checkuser or clerk has requested you supply one or more diffs to justify the use of the checkuser procedure in the case, in accordance with the procedures listed in the table at the top of the requests for checkuser page. For an outcome to be achieved, we require that you provide these diffs as soon as possible. This has been implemented to reduce difficulties for checkusers, and is essential for your case to be processed. A link to your recently-created case which has this information missing is here. Thanks for your co-operation. -- lucasbfr talk 12:57, 31 March 2007 (UTC), checkuser clerk.

[edit] Satanism

Not to be the "Bible Basher" or whatever, are you seriously a satanist? If so, what led you down that path? I'm just kinda wondering, because when I looked on the Church of Satan's main web page, it seened like more of a cheesy RPG than a religion. How does that stuff work out? I'm not trying to sound like an asshole, I'm just curious.
