Welcome to Wikipedia! We could really use your help to create new content, but your recent additions, such as those you made to J Doggy Dogg(rapper), do not assert the notability of their subjects and have been reverted or removed. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia.

Please do not try to re-create that page for the fifth time. Go to Wikipedia:Deletion review if you want to challenge the deletion. Fut.Perf. 09:05, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Dynasty Parka Records

Stop Please do not re-create articles with the same content repeatedly when they have been deleted for valid reasons. This is your last warning, if you do this again I'll have to block your account. Fut.Perf. 10:11, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Blocked for Canadian Rap

You have been temporarily blocked from editing Wikipedia for a period of 24h because of repeatedly creating inappropriate pages.
Please read up on our vandalism policy, Wikipedia's notability guidelines, and what Wikipedia is. You are welcome to edit Wikipedia when the block expires, but please only make pages and edits that improve Wikipedia.

Well, I'll give you another chance, as I see you blanked that new page immediately (just at the same moment I gave you this warning), so I'm assuming it was just a misplaced test. But please make sure you understand the content guidelines cited above before creating any more articles. Fut.Perf. 10:26, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

{{unblock|i need help with this article}}

Okay, I can unblock you if you will accept advice and be careful with copyright issues. Maybe the block was a bit quick, it was mainly because of the prior issues. Sorry about that - I don't want to give you the impression I'm after you... Have you looked at Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion, that explains why your articles have been deleted. Please try to avoid such cases in future. Fut.Perf. 11:08, 7 December 2006 (UTC)

{{unblock|okay i will accept advice and be careful with copyright issues}} Yep, okay, I had already unblocked you :-) Is there an autoblock still in place? Wait a moment, I forgot to check. Fut.Perf. 11:19, 7 December 2006 (UTC)

Check again, this was an Wikipedia:Autoblock, I lifted it. You should be able to edit now. Sorry for the inconvenience. Fut.Perf. 11:23, 7 December 2006 (UTC)

{{unblock|where do i go to learn how to do articles}}

Ah, okay, good question :-) But you needn't use an "unblock" request for that... With all the deletion troubles, we actually forgot to give you the standard "welcome" message, right? Okay, here is one, and it contains a few useful links about that. If you have further questions, you can just ask other people directly on their talkpages, or type {{helpme}} here and somebody will show up to answer you. But first, here goes:

I would like to thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. However, it is recommended that you use the preview button before you save; this helps you find any errors you have made, and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history. Thanks again. Rich257 18:18, 7 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Signing

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button Image:Wikisigbutton.png located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you!

[edit] Help

i need help with the citations please and thank you

{{unblock}} is not to be used for calling for help. Use {{helpme}} instead. As to answer your question, see Wikipedia:Citing sources. --  Netsnipe   ►  15:50, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
I'm too busy to help you, but someone else should be with you shortly. In the meantime, write up an explanation here on exactly what you need help with. --  Netsnipe  ►  15:56, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

the citation is like the reference for the article about the album of the artist that i'm writing about and i was asking for help on the following subject which is the citation or reference as it's called.

I would suggest a single {{helpme}} on your talk page at a time. Having 3 at once makes it very confusing as to what you're asking. Just put it in once, and then put your questions below it. (I've removed the other ones for that reason.)
Now, what exactly do you need help with? If you're inserting a citation into a Wikipedia article, then Wikipedia:Citing sources, which was mentioned by Netsnipe above should answer your questions. If there's something else, please explain exactly what it is, and we'll be able to help you. If your question has been answered, please remove the {{helpme}} above (or change it to {{tr|helpme}}), so that helpers know that you no longer require their assistance. —PurpleRAIN 19:23, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Your edit to Ghetto Story

Your recent edit to Ghetto Story (diff) was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to recognize and repair vandalism to Wikipedia articles. i need help with the tracklisting

I think the problem with the table was that the hyphen character was unrecognised. Did you insert the hyphen using the Insert panel under the edit box? For tables you should use the hyphen on the keyboard (next to zero on most keyboards). Rich257 09:41, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

{{help me}} thanks for making that suggestion and i have a tracklisting but the thing is i don't have one of the songs for the album so i jus cut it down to 13 tracks intead of 16.

It has now been filled out to 16 tracks. I was able to find one site that listed a 17th track ("Bad Mind") but I haven't found details about that one yet. SWAdair 10:25, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

{{help me}} i have the 17th track i forgot to include it sorry about that though

Excellent. Thank you for improving the article. BTW, the {{helpme}} template should really only be used when you need quick assistance. When you only want to make a comment or ask a general question, you can leave out the helpme. Usually anyone who leaves a comment will check back later to see if there has been a response. SWAdair 10:44, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

oh and i forgot to ask you if know the of any songs that Baby Cham has done that i can put in the Category:Baby Cham Songs

Honestly, I had never heard of Baby Cham until I saw your helpme request. I would suggest checking everybody's friend.  :-) Oh, and one more thing: You can Sign your posts on talk pages by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. SWAdair 10:44, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

oh that's ok then The Black Wall Street 10:48, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

{help me}} i want to ask you if you know the tracklisting for Wow...The Story.

{{help me}} with the information on the singles the mass, funny man, ghetto pledge, and can i get a please and thank for the album Wow...The Story. The Black Wall Street 03:55, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

Have you tried Googling the information? You seem to be doing a good job with the track listing, and seem to be a fan. If you don't know the details, and they aren't on the internet, it isn't likely that random Wikipedians responding to a helpme request are going to know. SWAdair 04:35, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

not really but i will remember to do so.

The Black Wall Street 04:37, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

with citation of Dave Kelly (producer) and i think their is a website for the label where you can get the citation from. The Black Wall Street 05:02, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

i didn't get any messages from you where you busy. The Black Wall Street 05:13, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

I've been busy tracking and reverting vandalism -- a full time job. As Centrix noted in his edit summary when he removed the helpme template, This template is for requesting help related to the mechanics of Wikipedia, not to help in researching content for articles. We are happy to help, even with research, but research questions shouldn't be attached to a helpme template. What that template does is cause the talk page to show up in a special category that people check to see if anyone is stuck trying to figure out how to do something. It acts as a big sign saying "Hey, look at me!" and should only be used if you can't figure out the mechanics of how to do something. If you're wanting someone to research something for you (first, try researching it yourself), you can ask at the Reference desk. Please be sparing in your use of the helpme template. Now, what is it that you're trying to figure out in relation to the citation of Dave Kelly? Are you trying to figure out how to add a reference? SWAdair 05:22, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

never mind i already did the citation but thanks anyway and sorry if i've wasted your time. The Black Wall Street 05:32, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

No, I didn't mean to imply that it was a waste of time, just trying to help you understand how to use the template. I'm always willing to help. SWAdair 05:38, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Tony Kelly (producer)

A tag has been placed on Tony Kelly (producer), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. MER-C 07:28, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

{{help me}} because i need help on the information on tony kelly who is Dave Kelly's brother and is also a producer.

well there is a website that has the information on Tony Kelly that i can have a citation needed though and i have read through the guidlines on specific type of articles and so on.

The Black Wall Street 07:37, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

{{help me}} how do you delete an article because i don't want the man & man article so i was asking you for help in deleting it so can you please and thank you.The Black Wall Street 09:01, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

the Tony Kelly article information i don't really need because i put him with no [[]] The Black Wall Street 09:01, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

Probably the easiest way to handle that is to add {{db-author}} to the top of the article, as long as you created the article and no one else has made any substantial additions. The article will then be deleted as a matter of housekeeping. SWAdair 09:03, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

i checked the Baby Cham albums article and it seems like someone already deleted it and thanks to the person that deleted the article man & man. The Black Wall Street 09:08, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

oh and there is 2 of the same reggae album Wow...The Story articles i just want one article of Wow...The Story. The Black Wall Street 09:12, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

Ah, one of them has a space and the other doesn't. This is one of those cases where a redirect is probably appropriate. Because of the way the title appears on the cover, it is reasonable to assume that some users might type the name with the space, while someone else might type it without the space. Just choose one article and redirect it to point to the other article. Hehe... You're learning a lot of wikisyntax in a short amount of time. Pretty soon you're going to be the one answering helpme questions.  :-) SWAdair 09:16, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

hahaha i know The Black Wall Street 09:27, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

i can't seem to move the 2nd article of the same reggae album Wow...The Story why is that. The Black Wall Street 09:51, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

Which one do you want to keep? With the space or without? Use #REDIRECT [[article name]] on the one you don't want and blank the rest of the page. Rich257 10:44, 13 December 2006 (UTC

>#REDIRECT Wow... The Story

Ok, so on Wow...The Story add the line above.

I took care of the redirect for you. I had to clear my cache before I was sure it worked. My browser kept pulling up the cached version of the page instead of redirecting. Once I cleared the cache, though, I checked and the redirect is working fine. If you want to see what a redirect looks like, click here, then notice that near the top of the page is a small line that says "Redirected from Wow...The Story." Click on that small link and it will take you to the page without the space. Click on "edit this page" and you'll see the redirect. SWAdair 11:30, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

I have a question for you: did Baby Cham have a single called "Boom Boom"? If not would you like to remove the entry from Boom Boom. Thanks Rich257 11:01, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

no he doesn't have a single called boom but what he does have is the three remixes to Ghetto Story which are Ghetto Story Chapter 2 featuring Alicia Keys & Ghetto Story Chapter 3 featuring Akon.

The Black Wall Street 11:26, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

so you changed did you add the alicia chronology and singles chart for article of the Ghetto Story single. The Black Wall Street 11:35, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] {{help me}}

with the article on Tanya Stephens i have the information on her already but can you help me though. The Black Wall Street 12:47, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

When using the {{helpme}} template, you need to ask a specific question. You haven't explained what question you want answered, which makes it difficult for anyone to help. It seems like you want some mentoring in using Wikipedia. May I suggest the Adopt-a-User program? It might address what you're looking for. It pairs more experienced users with newer users to help the new users learn the ins and outs of Wikipedia. —PurpleRAIN 14:25, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

oh sorry if i made a mistake i meant to say that i have the information on Tanya Stephens but i was just asking if you can help me with a few things while i'm currently doing the artlcle that's what i actually meant by that statement i didn't imply that i needed alot of help or anything like that. but if you say so then i will glady join the program. The Black Wall Street 14:29, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

I didn't mean to imply that you can't ask questions here. What I was trying to say is that:
  1. When you use {{helpme}}, be sure to ask a specific question. If you say, "Can you help me with this article," I can't, because I don't know what you need. If you say, "How do I cite a source for this article," or "How do I create subsections in an article," or something like that, then I know what you need and I can provide an answer.
  2. From how you phrased your question, it sounded like you wanted someone to walk you through the creation of an article. That's what the Adopt-a-User program is for. I only mentioned it because I thought you would find it helpful. If you don't think it will meet your needs, don't feel obligated to sign up.
PurpleRAIN 15:54, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

no but thanks it's ok because i'm doing the article now so i just would need help with a few things notciably the citation and category stuff. The Black Wall Street 16:01, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] License tagging for Image:Reggae Gold '98.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Reggae Gold '98.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] AfD Nomination: Baby Cham discography

An editor has nominated the article Baby Cham discography for deletion, under the Articles for deletion process. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the nomination (also see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Your opinions on why the topic of the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome: participate in the discussion by editing Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Baby Cham discography. Add four tildes like this ˜˜˜˜ to sign your comments. You can also edit the article Baby Cham discography during the discussion, but do not remove the "Articles for Deletion" template (the box at the top of the article), this will not end the deletion debate. Jayden54Bot 22:53, 14 January 2007 (UTC)

˜˜˜˜ i don't think that the article of Baby Cham's Discography should be deleted because i feel that it's accurate and is a real article about the albums that Jamaican, dancehall artist Cham has released. The Black Wall Street 16:36, 16 January 2007 (UTC)

You need to leave your comments on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Baby Cham discography. Please note that the debate is not questioning accuracy but the fact that is is repeated from the artist's article and is not sufficiently long to require a separate article. Rich257 17:43, 16 January 2007 (UTC)

On the articles for deletion page it is usual to prefix your comment with one of:

  • Delete if you agree with the deletion proposal, or
  • Keep if you feel it should be kept, or
  • Comment if you just providing information

You can then add further comments but the first word is helpful as a summary of your thinking. Thanks, Rich257 17:51, 16 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Boybands2-0235.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Boybands2-0235.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 02:47, 22 January 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Yamla 02:47, 22 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Boybands2-0235.jpg

Thank you for uploading Image:Boybands2-0235.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. [edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Boybands2-0235.jpg

Warning sign This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Boybands2-0235.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. When you use a generic fair use tag such as {{fair use}} or {{fair use in|article name}}, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Yamla 02:47, 22 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image tagging for Image:200px-Bad_Azz.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:200px-Bad_Azz.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 06:43, 27 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Babycham-lg_001.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Babycham-lg_001.jpg.

If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 21:07, 27 January 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. User:Gay Cdn (talk) (Contr) 21:07, 27 January 2007 (UTC)

Don't worry i'm going to upload a different image for the article of Jamaican dancehall artist Baby Cham. and i'm going to also have the source for the image of the article too. The Black Wall Street 05:33, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Reggae Gold '98.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Reggae Gold '98.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you.
