The Geography Elite - User page representative of the so-titled group, more colloquially known between members as "The Geo Elite".
The gallery housing my images of Ayr's beach is currently residing at photographs until there are thoughts on which might be desirable to include in relevant articles (if any...!)
Many things are held in common by our fellow members, following is a general declaration of attributes commonly found throughout the group:
|
This user is a member of the Geo Elite. |
[edit] How The Geo Elite Was Set Up
The Geo Elite is a small yet well-respected group set up within the Geography world. The group was first set up by four of the leading geography students in Belmont Academy; Ben Horwill, Adam McLean, James Bailey and Callum Stewart in the summer of 2006.
[edit] Specialist Areas
The Geo Elite is specialist mainly in the areas of Africa and Asia with its best knowledge coming in the countries of Singapore and Zimbabwe.
[edit] Mr Brown
The Geo Elite was influenced by the inspirational example of Mr DLK Brown, a much revered character who all the Geo Elite members respect and look up to.
[edit] New Members
Recently the Geo Elite has seen the addition of some new members, several people having decided to 'take the plunge' into Geography; with a couple of them doing really well and seemingly 'cutting the mustard'. New Member Mathew Wylie has been showing the most promise and if he carries on will become a great asset to the Geo Elite.
[edit] Hobbies of the Geo Elite
It is well known that the Geo Elite indulge in the sport of cricket, the "sport of Gods". Also, members are, by general consensus, keen fans of The Independent and The Times newspapers.
[edit] Geo Elite Flag
- The Flag for the Geo Elite contains several symbolic meanings; - The symbol to the bottom right corner represtents the wealth of knowledge we have in the geo elite.
- The Blue signifies the fact that the Founding Fathers of the Geo Elite were all male; although sounding sexist it's the truth.- The blue also show the Loyalty that lies within the Geo Elite.
- The Red can tell us that we can all be heartless at times, especially when it comes to criticism and inducting new people into our group.
- The squares in the checkered half show that although we are one group we all have our own individual qualities.
- The black line represents the hearty contempt we feign for people who like biology.
