User:The Brain

Now the short mouse with the big head est moi.

Hi, I chose the user name the brain due to my affinity to Pinky and the Brain. I am interested in theology, mythology, psychology, art and world culture.

My current code of conduct is derived from the Red Cross's statement of neutrality: In order to continue to enjoy peace of mind, my person may not take sides in hostilities or engage at any time in controversies of a political, racial, religious or ideological nature. ;)

Convicted draft-dodger (1991), with pride.

"A soldier will fight long and hard for a bit of colored ribbon." Napoléon Bonaparte

"They said: "O Mûsâ (Moses)! We shall never enter it as long as they are there. So go you and your Lord and fight you two, we are sitting right here." Sura Al-Ma'ida:24 (6:24)

And to quote a war-criminal (debasing myself in the process): “Military men are dumb, stupid animals to be used as pawns for foreign policy.” -- Henry Kissinger

We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them. Albert Einstein

8. And when the female (infant) buried alive (as the pagan Arabs used to do) is questioned:[2] 9. For what sin, was she killed?

Weird and unusual quote;

“What can my enemies possibly do to me? My paradise is in my heart; wherever I go it goes with me, inseparable from me. For me, prison is a place of (religious) retreat; execution is my opportunity for martyrdom; and exile from my town is but a chance to travel.” Ibn Taymiyyah

Would you like to talk?

Enjoin you Al-Birr (piety and righteousness and each and every act of obedience to Allâh) on the people and you forget (to practise it) yourselves,[3] while you recite the Scripture [the Taurât (Torah)]! Have you then no sense? Sura Al-Baqara:44 (2:44) )

And of no effect is the repentance of those who continue to do evil deeds until death faces one of them and he says: "Now I repent;" nor of those who die while they are disbelievers. For them We have prepared a painful torment. Sura An-Nisa :18(4:18)

Wherever ye are, death will find you out, even if ye are in towers built up strong and high!" And he whom We grant long life, We reverse him in creation (weakness after strength). Will they not then understand? Sura Ya-Seen :68 (36:68)

O mankind! A similitude has been coined, so listen to it (carefully): Verily those on whom you call besides Allah, cannot create (even) a fly, even though they combine together for the purpose. And if the fly snatches away a thing from them, they will have no power to release it from the fly. So weak are (both) the seeker and the sought. Sura Al-Hajj :73 (22:73)

And walk not on the earth with conceit and arrogance. Verily, you can neither rend nor penetrate the earth, nor can you attain a stature like the mountains in height.Sura Al-Isra:37 (17:37)

Say (O Muhammad): "If the Most Gracious (Allâh) had a son (or children as you pretend), then I am the first of Allâh’s worshippers [who deny and refute this claim of yours (and the first to believe in Allâh Alone and testify that He has no children)]." [Tafsir At-Tabarî]. Sura Az-Zukhruf (43:81)

Whatsoever is on it (the earth) will perish.26. And the Face of your Lord full of Majesty and Honour will remain forever.27 Sura Ar-Rahman26-27 (55:26-27)
