Real estate broker copyvio
I believe the copyvio may come from [1], however I am not sure. That article is alarmingly similar, but it is not the article I recall finding. Thanks for asking, sorry I could not be of much more help. MyNameIsNotBob 02:09, 2 July 2006 (UTC)
- I updated it as such and it turned out that it wasn't a copyvio, but rather the other site was a bad fork or "content borrower", which I agree with as looking through the article history it appears the article organically grew. Thanks, —TheJC (Talk • Contribs • Count) 09:14, 16 July 2006 (UTC)
Edits regarding China national football team
(this is regarding this revert to China national football team —TheJC (Talk • Contribs • Count) 02:04, 10 July 2006 (UTC))
I was informed that my edit to the China national football team was considered an act of vandalism. However, I believe my edit removes a piece of information that does not have any sources. I have consulted the chinese version of that article link. The nickname of the football team, was left as a dash. Besides from the wikipedia information, I have never heard of the Chinese football team being named "lizards", and I don't see a valid reason to call them with this title. Above is my reason for removing that piece of content from the article. Although I do have to confess that I forgot to leave a message in the edit summary box, I believe my edit to the article should not be reverted. Thank you mouselmm 00:56, 10 July 2006 (UTC)
- Sorry if it appeared I was reverting you because I saw it as "vandalism", I should probably have said it might have been a browser problem that caused it (has happened to me several times). I now understand that you were simply removing the nickname lizards from the infobox (which I've now done after reading your message). The reason I reverted to the version before your 2 edits was because removing the nickname field results in {{{nickname}}} being displayed in the infobox, and the subsequent edit in which I guess you was trying to fix that resulted in half the article disapearing. It certainly wasn't your intention, and I hope you understand from this explanation why I did the revert. Yours, —TheJC (Talk • Contribs • Count) 02:02, 10 July 2006 (UTC) (Comment copied from Mouselmm's talk page. —TheJC (Talk • Contribs • Count) 02:04, 10 July 2006 (UTC)
- I appreciate your quick response TheJC, I didn't notice that half of the article disappeared before you pointed out for me. I use Firefox as my primary browser for wikipedia editing, and texts disappearing from the text box while switching tabs weren't shocking news to me. I guess I was a little boneheaded by clicking on "Save Page" before I did a thorough check of what I've done with the article. My fault for this one and you should book me for that. I aplogize for the mistake I have caused, and I hope this will be the last time the name mouselmm appears on the warning list. Sincerely Yours mouselmm 02:19, 10 July 2006 (UTC)

Hi, I completely re-wrote this article and included references and links. Could you please review my changes and revisit your nomination? Thanks! --Aguerriero (talk) 17:26, 12 July 2006 (UTC)

Outer Limits episodes copyvio tags
JC, please stop tagging these pages. I don't think you have checked carefully enough. I checked one episode and nothing in the article is copyrighted material belonging to TV.com. Please read my comments at Talk:If These Walls Could Talk (episode). Thanks. -- Slowmover 19:38, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
JC, further to my comments above, I notice that some of the pages you tagged do have TV.com content on them. But we should not be deleting the entire page. Simply removing the plot synopsis should be enough. The balance of the page content is not copyvio, and these pages are already planned to be written, so deleting them is over-correcting the problem. Thanks. -- Slowmover 19:45, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
- I admit I may not have been as thorough as I should have been before putting the {{db-copyvio}} tag on those articles, and in future I will ensure I am completely sure before doing so. Sorry for any inconvenience this has subsequently caused anyone, and it won't happen again. —TheJC (Talk • Contribs • Count) 21:10, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
- No prob. It worked out for the best because you alerted us to a slew of smaller copyvio insertions in about 40 of the articles on episodes of the original 1960s Outer Limits series. This has all been fixed up now (I think). -- Slowmover 21:23, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
bao team copyright
This is regarding to BAO Team which was marked as a copyvio of http://us.geocities.com/drajero/baoindex9.htm by myself.
what violation? kamuixtv is the leader and founder of BAO Team, he developed DVD-Edge9 located at drajero at geocities. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Yunaffx (talk • contribs) 22:04, 14 Jul 2006 (UTC)
- Please read Wikipedia:Copyrights and Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted material, and the said page is a copyright violation as the text is a copy-and-paste of material which is not either in the Public Domain, or licensed under GFDL. —TheJC (Talk • Contribs • Count) 22:23, 14 July 2006 (UTC)
- AFAIK I didn't violate anything can you point it out? where exactly. Got it I deleted that page already for your satisfaction—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Yunaffx (talk • contribs) 02:15, 15 Jul 2006 (UTC)
- The section: WP:COPY#Contributors.27_rights_and_obligations (mainly that contributions must be licensed under the GNU Free Documentation License and using text from another site which is not released into either the Public Domain or under GFDL is a copyright infringement. To use large sections of text from that web-page you would either a) if it is your own page, put at the bottom something similar to "The contents of this page are licensed under the GNU Free Documentation License, or b) get permission from the web-site owner for use of the content of the web-page under the GFDL (looking at Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission offers some useful advice, and Wikipedia:Example requests for permission gives some examples of requests). The suggestion worked like smooth flowing water. The {{}}did the trick. I read the message about your health. I'm fortunate that you responded. Much Gratitude and Relief--Theepublicist 10:10, 15 July 2006 (UTC)
Get your facts corrected
This discussion is regarding List of bonus characters in Soul Calibur III which was marked as a copyvio of http://soul-chaos.tripod.com/id11.html, http://soul-chaos.tripod.com/id12.html, and http://www.soularchive.jp/ by myself —TheJC (Talk • Contribs • Count) 08:59, 16 July 2006 (UTC)
I don't contende that the Bonus page from SC is copy-pasted from SoulArchive, but not from that soul-chaos page. That page actually borrowed the Trivia and Minor text directly from wiki, since I AM the one who wrote every trivia from scratch. If you're going to delete a page for copyright violation, use the actual page that was used, don't add. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Johnny Master (talk • contribs) 17:22, 15 Jul 2006 (UTC)

- Please read Wikipedia:Copyrights and Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. If the Wikipedia article has been copied to another site without attributing the author(s) then the article is not a copyright violation, but the other site is probably breaking the GFDL license. If this is the case, they should have read Wikipedia:Reusing Wikipedia content; and you should probably list them at Wikipedia:Mirrors and forks. Please also read the template placed on the article, as it explains what should be done if it is not a copyright violation. Also, Articles for Deletion is a discussion and not a vote. If the article is not a copyright violation, prove that in the discussion and the closing admin will likely discount what I've said.
- Please also try to assume good faith when leaving comments. —TheJC (Talk • Contribs • Count) 08:59, 16 July 2006 (UTC)

Re:Reverted Reverted edit to Chamillionaireedit to Chamillionaire
Sorry about that, I was about to revert my revert. We're troubleshooting a summary problem on IRC and I was trying to duplicate the problem (can't do with test pages) and I made a mistake that I could not fix in time to avoid your edit.

- Thanks for letting me know, wasn't sure about the edit which is why I said I'd reverted it as I wasn't sure. Thanks again, —TheJC (Talk • Contribs • Count) 22:13, 17 July 2006 (UTC)
