[edit] Plot
Tom and Jerry are at it again. This time, Jerry has a magic ring stuck on his head, and both of them meet enemies in town who want either the ring, Jerry, or Tom. It's up to Tom and Jerry to work together as a team to dodge danger and quickly take off the magic ring on Jerry's head.
[edit] Summary
The story starts out in a haunted house, where Tom usually catches Jerry and breaks everything in the house. Meanwhile, in the basement, a wizard named Chip is making a magical potion, using these ingredients: warts from a bullfrog, one stick of butter, and milk from a cow that lives in Calcutta. With a count of three, he uses his magic ring to make his potion, until it is realized that it doesn't work. Chip checks the milk carton that he used on the potion, but there is no substitution for the milk of a cow that lives in Calcutta. Later, Tom gets into the basement, and Chip orders him to guard his magic ring, while he goes to Calcutta to milk a cow. If Tom does a good job, he'll be rewarded with a big juicy salmon, but if not, "there will one less kitty to clean up after around here." So, Chip leaves for Calcutta by using his motorcycle, and Tom is in the basement, guarding the ring. Jerry, however, climbs up on the table, where Chip left his magic ring. As Jerry finds the ring, he begins to wear it, looking royal to himself. Tom spots Jerry, who is wearing the ring. He orders Jerry to give the ring, but notices that it's stuck. Tom goes on a magic broom and coal scraper and hunts down Jerry out of the house. Jerry goes through different situations like meeting a ring loving dog and Droopy in a fortune telling house. Tom chases a diamond cutter out of his shop and disguises as him to get the ring off of Jerry. He uses several methods, which all failed, then Jerry runs away and Tom destroys the store getting chased away by the owner. Then they go in a pet store where Jerry is in a cage with his cousin, a dim witted mouse named Nibbles, while Tom is thrown in a cage with Spike and Tyke. The mice tease both Nibbles and Jerry. Jerry then zaps Nibbles to turn him giant and the others into cheese, this leads to a chase between Nibbles and the cheese mice. A young boy comes and adopt Jerry then Tom escapes with the father and son dogs on his trail. Tom then steals jerry from the boy and his mother calls the police in which they chase Tom until he encounters Butch, the alleycat who wants Jerry as his breakfast in bed. This leads to about 15 minutes of the movie of a long chase of silliness until Jerry freezes everyone except Tom and they go home . Then Tom hears his master coming, and rushes to get the ring off Jerry. He then gets it stuck on himself so he tries to hide it from his master in vain, thus resulting in him getting zapped, up till the rest of the characters unfreeze which leads Tom being chased by Butch, Spike and Tyke, the 4 police cars, the gem loving dog, the cheese mice, and the giant Nibbles. The movie ends by Jerry turning the salmon into cheese.
