[edit] Synopsis
In a sweep through Moya to uncover any other Peacekeeper technology, D'Argo finds an odd retaining device deep inside one of Moya's tunnels. Kicking it off results in an unexpected release of particles, and also D'Argo falls through more tunnels, to be ultimately ejected into space. While Aeryn is able to retrieve him in her Prowler and successfully revive him, he's delirious and mistakes the crew for various family members, and covered in the strange particles.
With D'Argo unable to describe what has happened, the rest of the crew attempts to investigate, only to realise Pilot is acting strangely, ultimately resulting in Pilot falling unconscious. The crew suspect some sort of virus, especially when further investigations have Moya's own DRDs attacking the crew members. D'Argo's delerium isn't helping the situation, but in trying to calm him down they learn why he was made a prisoner by the Peacekeepers in the first place. He was married to a Sebacean, Lo'laan and had a son with her, Jothee. Her brother, Macton, angry at the miscegenation of their union, killed her and had him blamed for it. Before being taken in, he was able to hide his son, and is now desperate to find him again, and get revenge on Macton.
As Aeryn attempts to sever Moya's higher functions in an effort to save the crew and Pilot, Crichton discovers why Moya seems to have turned against them—she's pregnant, and has been redirecting functions to protect and nourish her offspring. Once that is understood, they are able to resolve the various problems.
