These Ties is the second album by the Australian singer Amiel, released in Japan on October 19, 2005 (see 2005 in music) by Festival Mushroom Records. The album is a mix between a pop and dance songs — written by Amiel herself and Stephen Lironi. The album was due to be released in Australia in 2005; but according to Amiel's website, "...the album got lost in the buyout of her label, Festival Mushroom, by Warners late last year. After a few false starts when its release was rescheduled, the artist herself asked for the album to be shelved."

Two singles, however, were released in Australia - "Round and Round" and a Be Your Girl EP which contained remixed versions of several songs from the shelved album.

The album was released in Japan due to high sales of her debut album. These Ties made it's debut on the Japan Albums Chart at one hundred and forty-one with 1,320 copies sold. The next week also showed not much success falling down to number two hundred and eighty.
