[edit] Biography

Thee Heavenly Music Association was formed after Storer, (noted for her high profile role in London all girl punk band Fluffy) relocated to Los Angeles and hooked up with Jack Off Jill for their Clear Hearts Grey Flowers album. She and Dave Hillis met in 1999. Hillis who is best known for engineering Pearl Jam’s multi- platinum Ten LP, Alice in Chains' Would? and Sap EP's, as well as songs on Cameron Crowe’s Singles soundtrack, agreed to help Storer record and engineer the project, later becoming and integral part of the band himself. Dave is also a respected recording artist with a recording contract to Island Records for his short lived band Sybil Vane under his belt. He engineered The Afghan Whigs farewell record 1965 and also co-produced the record’s single 66. [1]

Musicians employed for the heavily Psychedelic based album Shaping the Invisible, included bassist Bardi Martin and drummers Dave Krusen and Ron Holt. Shaping the Invisible is the band's first album and its title is from a quote by Leonardo DaVinci describing music.

Thee Heavenly Music Association's sound has been compared to early Jesus and Mary Chain. Other songs have a more upbeat driving rhythm and riff, where Storer's vocals cry out like some heavy metal Elizabeth Fraser of Cocteau Twins.

Thee Heavenly Music Association currently reside in Seattle, Washington.
