The Way of the Master Radio is a daily, two-hour North American broadcast radio show, one of the media ministry arms of The Way of the Master ministries. It began airing on January 2nd 2006. The daily host is Todd Friel, who broadcasts daily alongside producer Tony Verkinnis in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. Several times a week Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron, the founders of the ministry and television show co-hosts, also join in from their studio in the ministry's Bellflower, California headquarters. Todd is also joined by Joey or David ("Hip-Hop") on occation, two others involved with the show.

Segements include:

  • "The Pre-Show Show," where Friel answers listener e-mails and calls.
  • "Street Fishin'," where a ministry staff member goes to a public location, (most often one of several public malls in southern California, though they have gone to other locations, including New York and Texas) to witness to non-Christians, using their cell phone to communicate with the studio. The staff member often witness him/herself (with their cell phone set up for the audience to listen), or let one of the hosts (Friel, Comfort, or Cameron) witness via the phone itself. Various people on and off staff have been 'phone fishers', including Trish, Aaron the actor, Joey Nicolosi, and "Lawman" Tony Miano.
  • "Phone Fishin'," where the hosts will randomly select a name out of the phone book, and then call that number to share Christiantiy with whoever answers.
  • "Tony's News," a three-minute segment between the first and second hours where Verkinnis shares news stories, followed by a snarky comment from a Christian perspective.
  • "An Evolution Miracle," a mocking defense of intelligent design. Friel uses a part of the human anatomy (ranging from the elbow or foot to cranial sutures as a proof of the evolutionary theory, often saying such things as, "So, everybody got together for an evolutionary meeting, took a vote, and decided that the best solution was to evolve feet." Verkinnis then, in an innocent tone of voice, asks a question such as "If that's true, wouldn't we all have fallen over and starved to death in the intervening millions of years?", which leads Friel into a mock rant ("All I'm trying to do is give the evolutionists some hope and encouragement and peace on the road to hell, and you just throw it to pieces with your logic and reason! I hope you're happy!").
  • "Story Time," a segment dedicated to a story.
  • "A Really Lame Sermon Illistration" - Friel, Comfort or Cameron tell a strange or unusual (in topic) story. They then relate it to a Biblical lesson.
  • "Free for All Friday," where every Friday Friel answers any and all questions listeners call in to pose (except for questions concerning predestination).
  • A spontaneously named, just thought-up game show where Friel has listeners call in to play the new game. Games have included Intelegent Design vs Evolution, You Be the Judge, and Be Witnessed to by a Dreamy Hollywood Actor (with Cameron).
  • "Beep-Talk" A series of recordings from listeners that called and left a voice message. Todd says he is scared how smart the listeners are.

According to their station listing as of July 2006, the daily show is available daily on roughly four dozen terrestrial radio stations, including Austrialia's Rhema Radio Network, as well as on Sirius Satellite Radio and via Internet streaming and podcasting. Another fifty-some stations air a weekly "best of" show.

  • "Mr. Mr. Friel" - When a listener calls Friel "Mr. Friel", he responds with "That's Mr. Mr. Friel to you!". Some listeners carry this on, calling him "Mr. Mr. Friel", to which he responds "That's Mr. Mr. Mr. Friel to you!", and so on.
  • "Schmooley" - In an interview with a rabbi on the show, a man named "Schmooley" was not letting Friel or Comfort speak, so Friel began to call out "Schmooley! Schmooley! Schmooley!" until he could speak again. Whenever one of them are in a similar encounter, they begin to shout out "Schmooley! Schmooley!" until they are able to speak again.
  • "All together Now" - When Todd says some like "...and that is a completely different subject all together now." Tony is supposed to respond "...and that is a completely different subject." Tony doesn't normal catch it and the "Timing" joke comes after.
  • "Timing" - When Todd gives someone a cue to come in and he doesn't understand the cue Todd reminds him, "What's the first rule of comedy?" The person, usually Tony, responds "Timing" several seconds after the question was asked, during the middle of the question being asked, or before the question was ever asked.

Along with the daily show, the ministry produces daily one-minute devotional-type spots to be played on Christian stations to urge Christians to evangelise. These are much more prevalent on airwaves than the actual show itself; in early 2006, the 600 stations of the Calvary Satellite Network began airing the spots.
