The Warsaw Demo
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Warsaw Demo was the first record by Joy Division in 1977.
[edit] Track listing
- "Inside the Line" (2:43)
- "Gutz" (1:59)
- "At a Later Date" (3:14)
- "The Kill" (3:08)
- "You're No Good for Me" (2:02)
It was never released officially; however, it has appeared on several bootlegs over the years. "The Kill" only shares a title with the song of the same name on Still. The songs are very raw and give us an insight into Joy Division's early days. While these recordings have been compared to the early material of The Stranglers, the lyrics still hold the distinctive Curtis touch.
