The Very Best of Sting & The Police is a compilation album issued by Sting, and released by A&M Records. It was generally regarded as unnecessary and a poor representation of the musical works of either Sting or The Police, Sting's former band (Amazon review). The only new track featured on the compilation is a remix of the 1978 Police hit "Roxanne" by rap artist Sean "Puffy" Combs.
Interestingly, the album was re-released in 2002 with several track changes: the songs "Let Your Soul Be Your Pilot", "Russians", and "Roxanne '97 (Puff Daddy Remix)" are omitted. The songs "Seven Days", "Fragile", "De Do Do Do, De Da Da Da", "Brand New Day", "Desert Rose", and "So Lonely" are added, bringing the number of tracks from 15 to 18.
