[edit] Synopsis
After a senior prank against the principal, all eyes are focused on Jack, Pacey and Dawson as the culprits. Students find the principal's pet dog and sailboat, with "Class of 2001" painted on the sail, in the school swimming pool. Principal Peskin and Mitch interview the boys trying to determine who did it. During the interview, each of the friends re-tell their view of events leading up to the prank while seemingly pointing the finger at someone else.
[edit] Jack’s Alibi
Jack pays a visit to Jen and asks her to help him coach the girls' soccer team, then leaves to meet Drue at the hardware store. At the hardware store, Jack asks Drue to pick up paint and a bucket-full of supplies while Jack goes to fix a soccer goal before practice and a game. Even though the team wins, Jack gets fired as coach.
[edit] Pacey’s Alibi
Pacey spends the day on a ride-along with his brother, Doug. Early in the afternoon Doug and Pacey investigate the disappearance of a dog, but find no clues. Later in the day, they investigate a "break in" at the boatyard and find Drew there supposedly responding to a call about a missing boat. Pacey then catches a ride home with Drue.
[edit] Dawson’s Alibi
Gayle gives Dawson a ride to Mr. Brooks house, reminding him that he has to find his father's keys, which he "lost" the night before. He spent the day in Mr. Brooks' study sorting through old papers and books. Gretchen picks up Dawson and takes him home. Drew is waiting at Dawson's house so he can return the keys Dawson left in his car the previous night. Dawson returns to Mr. Brooks' house to continue working, but is told to leave. After a few searches, Dawson finds out that Mr. Brooks was a film director.
Principal Peskin puts all the pieces together and determines that Drue was the one who pulled the prank. After being suspended for two weeks, Drue asks Joey to tell the boys "touché". Confronted by Joey, the three boys relate how it might be possible that they pulled off the prank.
