[edit] Plot
The episode begins with Faith screaming at a horror movie she is watching with Hope and Charley. Then Sydney comes in from the movies. When Hope asks her, Sydney doesn't reply but she talks to Faith about it instead. Turns out that Sydney has a crush on a boy named James at school.
The following day Sydney comes in and tries to hide the fact that she failed her test. And she needs her mom and dad to sign it. She gets her Aunt Faith to sign it, tricking her that it's an autograph. After that, Faith learns that she doesn't have a diploma because she failed her French final. Faith decides to retake the French test and along the way, Hope finds out about the test.
Faith makes Hope come along to her French lesson where they are constantly annoyed by the teacher. James introduces himself to Hope and Faith but shortly after, Hope gets kicked out for talking to Faith. Faith does some matchmaking of her own and gets Sydney and James together after school because Hope has to go to a meeting. However things dont go as planned because James is shirtless with only his boxers on in front of Faith!! Sydney and Hope both come in and are shocked! Charley comes in also and they get James to hide in a closet. They get Charley to go away by pretending they all have their periods.
Sydney is sent up to her room and Faith has a nice chat with Hope. Faith retakes her French final and Hope and Sydney bond after Hope tells her that she made James go home without his clothes!

[edit] Notes
"Hope & Faith" ranked as the No. 1 entertainment program on Friday night in Adults 18-49 (3.7/11) and Adults 18-34 (2.9/11). Among Adults 18-49, the ABC comedy dominated its entertainment competition in its time period, outperforming CBS' "JAG" by 85% (2.0/6) and the time period premiere of NBC's "Miss Match" by 68% (2.2/7). -"Hope & Faith" held on to all of its week-earlier Adult 18-49 audience (3.7/11) and increased by 7% among Adults 18-34 (2.9/11 vs. 2.7/10).
It's implied that Hope and Faith grew up in the house that they (along with Hope's family) currently occupy.
In this episode, it's revealed that Faith's surname (and Hope's maiden name) is "Fairfield." (Faith's high school records are listed under this name, so it can't be a pseudonym from her acting career.)
