- 17 July 1976 - Peter McElcar (24) and Patrick Cannon (20), both members of the Provisional Irish Republican Army, were killed in a premature bomb explosion while travelling in a car, Castlederg.
1984
- 14 July 1984 - Norman McKinley (32) and Heather Kerrigan (20), both Protestant members of the Ulster Defence Regiment, were killed in a Provisional Irish Republican Army land mine attack on their foot patrol, near Castlederg.
1991
- 12 August 1991 - Patrick Shanaghan (33), a Sinn Fein activist, was shot going to work, near Killen; case went to the European Court of Human Rights.
