The Trouble with Miss Switch
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Trouble with Miss Switch is an animated television special based on a children's book by Barbara Brooks Wallace.
The story centers on two students, Rupert and Amelia, who find out that their substitute teacher is a witch. When she is around animals they possess the ability to talk. This also extends to Miss Switch's magical cat Bathsheba. The children learn that a coven of evil witches are out to destroy Miss Switch and she needs their help to stop them. Both the cartoon and the book were followed by Miss Switch to the Rescue, in which Miss Switch and children get sent back into time by an evil Warlock. Miss Switch was voiced by veteran voice actress Janet Waldo.
The film premiered in 1980 and was broadcast numerous times on ABC as an episode of the ABC Weekend Special.
