The Thorn is a comedy movie released on the 24 May 1974 directed by Peter Alexander starring John Bassberger as Jesus Christ and Bette Midler as the Virgin Mary.
Although it was filmed in English and made in America, The Thorn has enjoyed controversies overseas; for example, it was banned in Finland in 1984.
