The Tamarind Seed is a 1974 Blake Edwards film starring Julie Andrews as Judith Farrow, a British Home Office functionary and Omar Sharif as Feodor, a Soviet air attaché-- lovers involved in Cold War intrigue. Soundtrack by John Barry. Based on the "The tamarind seed; a novel," by Evelyn Anthony. (New York: Dell, 1971)

Spoofed in MAD Magazine in 1975 as "The Tommyred Seed."
