From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Take Over, The Break's Over is a song by the Chicago Pop-Punk band Fall Out Boy. It is the second song off their album, Infinity On High. The song focuses very much on the drumming of Andrew Hurley as it serves as the primary beat for the whole song. The name of the song is a named after a lyric of the rapper, Jay-Z's song, Takeover. Jay-Z also features on the introduction of the first song of the album, Infinity On High, the song called Thriller.

The song along with Thriller and This Ain't A Scene, It's An Arms Race was played on TRL on the debut of their new album. This was part of MTV's Spankin New Music Week. According to the latest issue of Rolling Stone, Patrick Stump wrote the music to the beat of the Rolling Stones song (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction, which was actually the original title of this song.
