[edit] Notes
- Carver has 'dressed up' for his and Ackland's plain clothes operation, which he admits is because he was thinking that they might be able to go for dinner after they're done. Ackland accepts this invitation for a date, although by the time Series Two begins there is no mention of it, so we must assume a long-term relationship fell through. It would be seventeen years before the Carver and Ackland romance would be reintroduced.
