The Sweet Far Thing a novel by Libba Bray, to be released in 2007. It is the sequel to the best-selling A Great and Terrible Beauty and Rebel Angels.

Libba Bray announced the title to The Sweet Far Thing on October 18, 2006, on her blog. It comes from a W.B. Yeats poem, The Rose of Battle. [1]

The plot of The Sweet Far Thing is currently unknown. It is known that The Sweet Far Thing will follow Gemma Doyle and her friends Felicity Worthington and Ann Bradshaw. It will take place sometime after January of 1896, when Rebel Angels ends.

A preview scene from the new book is featured in the recently released paperback copy of Rebel Angels, but Libba Bray later announced in her blog that the preview scene has been cut from the final book, which is due to be finished sometime in September, 2007.
