The Sunflower

The Sunflower (Italian: Il Girasole) was a political alliance of two Italian leftist parties for the 2001 general election, namely:

It was founded to benefit from the proportional list system employed; however, they received too few votes to benefit from their alliance (they did manage to enter parliament on the common list of the Olive Tree, however), and it was disbanded soon afterwards.
