[edit] Plot summary

Under the custudy of Count Gyula, both Esther and Nightroad listen as he explains the death of his wife and his plans for the Star of Sorrow. He plans to use the satellite -- originally designed for solar powered utility purposes -- to reignite the Apocalypse. He then addresses Esther's intent to kill him and offers her a pistol with which to do it. She fails to do so and is then brought to the control room from which Gyula controls the Star of Sorrow. As he attempts to arm the satellite via computer, Dietrich appears on-screen and reveals himself not only to be alive, but to be a member of the Rosen Kreuz Orden, another dissenting sect of the New Human Empire far more powerful than the Fleurs du Mal. Dietrich plans to use the Star of Sorrow remotely for his own ends -- to destroy the Vatican and ignite a world war between the Terrans and the Methuselah. Bidding them fairwell and now pitting Gyula and Esther on the same side against a common enemy, Dietrich signs off. Nightroad then intervenes however and is attacked by Gyula. In his defense, Nightroad activates Crusnik 02 to 80% and uses his wings to hack off Gyula's arm and one of his legs. Gyula, mortally wounded, repents for his sins and gives Esther the necessary codes to activate the Star of Sorrow's self destruct shortly before he kills himself with his own severed arm.
