The South County Sun

The South County Sun is a weekly community newspaper based in south Grant County, Washington.
Founded in 1985 by Andrew and Rachel Perkins as the Royal Review, the newspaper was purchased by Lisa and Phillip Leitz in 2002 and was renamed The South County Sun in September, 2003.
The Sun is registered with the Library of Congress and is the only legal newspaper based in south Grant County.[citation needed] The paper is published on Wednesday and is printed on the Grant County Journal's Goss Press in Ephrata. A second-class mailing permit is on file with the Royal City Post Office.
The Sun maintains newsstand in the following communities: Mattawa, Royal City, Desert Aire, Beverly and Mardon.
