The Sleep Train

Sleep Train is one of the top three mattress retailers in the United States and the largest on the west coast.[1] It was founded by Dale Carlsen in the early 1980s with a very strong emphasis on customer service, employee training, and quality products.
Sleep Train, Inc. owns and operates Mattress Discounters West, Boxcar Bedding, Sleep Train Mattress Centers and Sleep Country USA.[2] total of more then 170 stores in California, Nevada, Oregon and Washington. The company employs more than 1300 people.
In July of 2006, Carlsen announced the purchase of the 55-store Sleep Country USA chain in the Pacific Northwest. Sleep Country USA was formerly owned by the mattress manufacturer Simmons. [3]
Sleep Train stores carry mattressed manufatured by Sealy, Simmons, Select Comfort, Tempur-Pedic, and Sterns and Foster. Sleep Train also carries headboards by Fashion Bed Group and Modus International, as well as a variety of bedding accessories.
