The Silent Enigma is an album by the British doom metal band Anathema. It was released on October 23 1995 through Peaceville Records. The Silent Enigma is a turning point in Anathema's career. From 1996's Eternity on they would gradually progress (or regress according to some fans) into a softer style of rock.

- This is the first Anathema album to feature the lead vocals of guitarist Vincent Cavanagh, after the departure of founding member Darren White.
- The album was originally titled Rise Pantheon Dreams. This title was later used by White's post-Anathema project The Blood Divine for a compilation album.
- A video was shot for the track "The Silent Enigma".
