The Settlers IV is a Real Time Strategy computer game developed by Blue Byte Software, being the third sequel to The Settlers.
In The Settlers IV the player can control one of three races; the Mayans, the Vikings and the Romans. In the single player campaigns there is a fourth race, The Dark Tribe. The Dark Tribe are a tribe of slaves and worshippers of a banished god. They burn away all the green of the world and destroy nature infesting the land with gigantic Fungi and horrible constructions.
For Multiplayer there is a number of options, there is free empire building against other empires.
