The Second Time Around is a 1961 album by Etta James, and the second LP release for the blues singer. Released through Chess Records, the album consisted primarily of pop, blues, and jazz standards. The album's slick soul and R&B production would be lessened in later albums. Though overshadowed by James' breakthrough album At Last!, released the same year, the record featured the hits "Fool That I Am" and "Don't Cry, Baby," as well as a number of songs which garnered airplay from Top 40 radio.
