The Scene Aesthetic is an acoustic band from Everett, Washington that formed in January 2005. Its first single Beauty in the Breakdown achieved instant success on Myspace and purevolume. Members Andrews de Torres and Eric Bowley continued to compose songs and released their first album Building Homes From What We've Known within a year.
After being friends for a short period of time, Eric Bowley and Andrew de Torres got together in January of 2005 to write a song, which later became Beauty in the Breakdown. They realized its potential immediately and headed to the studio to record the single. With catchy guitar riffs and dueling vocals.
Over the course of the next years, the boys continued writing. In the winter of 2005-2006, they had enough material to record their full length record. They teamed up with producers Tom Pfaeffle and Brandon Metcalf for the job.
The band's first tour ended on December 9, 2006. As of late February 2007, Andrew has been working with his other band Danger:Radio while Eric is on a Mormon missions trip to Argentina.
