The Sand Whale Strikes is an episode of Courage the Cowardly Dog, much of it focused on Bagge history.

A whale who travels through sand appears at the farm, believing Eustace to be his father, Icket, who swindled him out of his accordion. Eustace says that his mother has it, before he and Muriel are eaten by the whale. Courage goes and finds Eustace's mother, who says that she will not give up the accordion, but she will capture the Sand Whale and sell it. When the whale sees that Ma has the accordion, he lets out Eustace and Muriel and eats Ma instead. He then goes to join a band with his accordion: the Sand Wailers.

- Ma is again a little meaner to Courage in this episode. She says 'Good to see ya.' but then starts bossing Courage around and treating him as her slave.
- This confirms that Eustace's father is dead. It also reveals that his name was Icket, who was enemies with the whale.
