[edit] Plot

Undercover Superstar is a popular search for musical talent show that everybody wants to go on. Raven then has a vision that one of the scouts from the show will come to her school the next day, so she tries to get on. When Raven tells Eddie and Chelsea, her rival Jasmine (Dana Davis) overhears and tries to get the scout to pick her. Soon everybody hears about it and they all want to get on the show.

Meanwhile, Victor and Tanya keep bugging Cory to take piano lessons, but he's more interested in finding a videotape of them as a failed R & B duet(similar to Peaches & Herb) who called themselves "Toast & Jelly."

[edit] Trivia

  • Undercover Superstar is a spoof off of Abdul's show American Idol and Star Search.
  • Dana Davis from Raise Your Voice guest stars as Raven's rival Jasmine. She only appeared in this episode.
  • Patrick Bristow from The Suite Life of Zack & Cody stars as the scout from Undercover Superstar.
  • Building up to this episode was a five part short program called Audition to Action which showed the process of Shane Haboucha getting the part of Emmett the Hall Monitor.
  • This episode received nearly 3 million viewers during it's premiere.
  • This episode aired as part of That's So Raven's Psychic Summer.
  • This is the only episode to be a "musical".
  • Raven performed half of her hit song "Shine", which can be heard on the "That's So Raven" Soundtrack
  • Second appearance of the fashion industry (if you look carefully after the theme song where it's showing San Fransisco, you can see the industry)
  • If some of the themes and dance moves seem familiar to fans of High School Musical, it's because some of the same choreographers and producers worked on both productions. There are even similarities in the basketball action of Eddie's Rap and Get'cha Head in the Game.
