The Right Stuf International

The Right Stuf International is an American retailer based in Grimes, Iowa that markets and distributes anime and manga-related products throughout the United States and internationally. In addition to selling anime and manga series that other companies have released in North America, Right Stuf has also licensed and distributed a few series themselves, manufacturing the DVDs for American release and recording the dubbing in their own studio.

Most, if not all, anime DVDs released in America nowadays have two audio options: The original Japanese track with English subtitles, or the English dubbed version. But whereas other anime distributors (ADV Films, FUNimation, etc.) make the dubbed track the default audio track on their DVD releases, Right Stuf makes the subtitled track the default. This has garnered much praise from American anime fans, who generally consider the original Japanese voice acting to be superior to dubs.

The company is headed by Shawne Kleckner and Kris Kleckner. The voice actors who regularly work with their dubbing studio include Rachael Lillis, Liam O'Brien, Jack Lingo and Rich McNamara.

Critical Mass is a branch company of The Right Stuf International which licences and releases h anime, also known as hentai. Mostly, the titles licences are hentai titles associated with "The Vanilla Series", a series of hentai titles produced in Japan by Digital Works, and are mostly tied-in with computer sim-games of the same title.

Some of these titles were originally released by Soft Cel Pictures, a now-defunct hentai arm of ADV Films. Such releases are as indicated.
