The Riddler’s Revenge is the world’s tallest and fastest stand-up roller coaster (as of October 2006). Located at Six Flags Magic Mountain, and designed by Bolliger & Mabillard, it opened on April 4, 1998 and set stand-up coaster records for height (156 feet tall), drop (146 feet), speed (65 mph), track length (4370 feet), and inversions (six). All five of these records eclipsed those of Chang, which had opened at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom the year before. The Riddler’s Revenge’s inversions are, in order:

As the Riddler was an archenemy of Batman, The Riddler’s Revenge is located adjacent to Batman: the Ride, in the back of the park. The Riddler's signature question mark is featured on the coaster's logo.

[edit] Trivia

  • Riddler's Revenge has a unique element - the consecutive dive loops. These were not originally in the layout - the designers wanted to include a cobra roll, but B&M refused to build a cobra roll on a stand-up coaster. Therefore, the dive loops were built instead.
