"The Reason" is the hit 2004 single by the alternative rock band Hoobastank, off their album The Reason. The song is Hoobastank's most commercially successful single, peaking at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts, and #1 on the Modern Rock Tracks.

The song was recently covered by the the acclaimed Welsh singer Tom Jones, introducing the song as being "A new song for me".
