The Reader’s Digest Association, Inc. (NYSE: RDA) is a U.S. publisher and direct marketer based in Pleasantville, New York, best known for its flagship publication, Reader's Digest.

RDA's magazines include 48 international editions of Reader's Digest and Spanish-language version Selecciones. Its other publications include American Woodworker (U.S.); The Family Handyman (U.S. and Australia); Moneywise (UK), Receptar (Czech Republic) and RD Specials, one-time publications sold at supermarket checkout counters.

RDA also produces illustrated reference books; Select Editions condensed novels; children's books, videos, and related products; recorded music box sets and collections.

Other RDA divisions include:

  • Reiman Media Group (acquired in 2002), publishers of 12 country-oriented lifestyle magazines including Taste of Home; also offers books and other related products and services.
  • Books Are Fun, (acquired in 1999), book and gift marketer through book fairs and book displays
  • QSP, which offers magazine subscriptions, gifts, and food for sale for school and youth group fundraising purposes


In March 2007, Reader's Digest was acquired by Ripplewood Holdings.
