The Prop Store of London
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Prop Store of London is a popular UK-based business specializing in film memorabilia. It has been in business for over two decades, but it has received greater prominence in recent years. Its website reportedly gets between four and five million hits per month, and has been described (by Forbes, after being voted into their "Best of the Web") as "One of the better sites for all the doohickeys and devices of sci-fi and action movie lore."
The company specializes primarily in finding and selling props and costume pieces used in feature films, especially action-adventure and science fiction, but also carries items such as call sheets, licensed prop reproductions and concept art, and sometimes carries items from television series such as Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
In recent years, it has also participated in the marketing of several feature film and television theatrical and DVD releases, including those of X-Men 2, Red Dwarf and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, helping to produce displays at venues such as Planet Hollywood.
It was founded and is still owned by Stephen Lane.
