The Priory School (Hitchin)

The Priory School is a mixed comprehensive school in Hitchin, Hertfordshire teaching pupils between the ages of 11 and 18. It shares sixth form teaching with Hitchin Boys School and Hitchin Girls School in a consortium agreement. The Priory School is now a specialist school in business and enterprise, and as such, receives extra grants from the government that help to facilitate improved facilities for said specialisms.

The current headteacher, Mr Peter Loach, joined the school in September 2002 and is proud to have made the school a specialist in Business and Enterprise in 2005. The school originally opened 1988 and it's pupils consist of mostly people from Hitchin and it's neighbouring villages. There are currently around 900 students in years 7,8,9,10 and 11. There are also about 100 in the sixth form.
