The Preacher (Dutch: De Dominee) is a 2004 Dutch thriller film, based on the novel by Bart Middelburg. The story is about a drug lord Klaas Donkers, who is modeled after famous Dutch drug lord Klaas Bruinsma. The film received a lot of attention due to the fact that it came out shortly after the Mabel Wisse Smit affair that was caused by the fact that Dutch princess Mabel confessed to having lied to the Dutch royal family about her past relationship with Bruinsma.
